Default Proof of God

Lately, i've been seeing proof that God exists. first, we have to date back to when i was three years old. i leaned against a window screen on a two story window and fell out. i landed on the grass, which was less than half an inch away from the concrete. i KNOW God was there to save me, but its not as evident as my other cases. case number two : i was at a chapel and i go "God, please show me a sign that you are real.", and sure enough, I saw a candle up by the altar randomly go out RIGHT when i said that. case number three : there was a thunderstorm outside and I heard a tiny thunder and i say to God, "is that all you got God, dont act like you're going to do something." literally right when i said that a HUGE lightning bolt accompanied by a MASSIVE thunder came. these are visual/audible proof that God exists. not to mention all the things hes done for me.

We are our own god, such as Jesus christ was his own god, the human mind is the most perfect organism in the universe when it used to the fullest extent, but that doesnt mean you get to use it to the fullest extent, it is very hard and you have to practice for years. Read about what the Gods used to help them aquire there mental abilitys, the gods practiced Alchemy, from what I have read, Any body can practice it, just not everybody can use the ORMUs elements that are made from alchemy, they have to be induced slow at first to make sure your body will accept them, they are very serious and could lead to bad things happening very quickly.

FIND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE

Since ancient Egyptian times, alchemists (Egyption pharos mastered alchemy) have worked in secret to produce something called the Philosopher's Stone, or the Elixir of Life (The eternal life). Researchers have found they are believed to be related to the Philosopher's Stone. The materials have been called ORMEs, monoatomic gold, white gold, white powder gold, ORMUS, m-state, AuM, microclusters, and manna.

You do realize that that's not proof of god. It's proof that concrete doesn't suck humans to it. Proof that candles (yes the almighty candle) can be put out and that there is thunder.

A thousand lemmings jump off a cliff, and one survives. Then he goes off and tells all of his lemming friends back home of the miracle that took place that day.

It's a matter of probability, my friend. If you had died, you wouldn't be here to tell us about it, or to think about it. Now, if you could tell us about how you miraculously survived several times (I know someone like this) I might be impressed.

The brain's belief system is part of what triggers psychic abilities, along with the limbic system (the seat of your emotions). It doesn't take much energy to put out a candle, and it also doesn't take much energy to trigger a lightning strike if it's already storming. But yes, very interesting experiences.

I had one myself when I was younger where I had asked God to prove his existence to me like he had done to Gideon. It was very overcast, so I prayed to God to make it rain if he existed. And it began raining almost that instant. And then I asked him to make it stop raining, and it stopped raining.

Next time ask him something that couldn't be mistaken as a coincidence. Such as make the tv levitate and go in circles for a little bit. Then refill my pop. It just happens to be empty.

I was going to say something about improbable versus nearly impossible requests, but I deleted it for some reason. I don't believe in God, by the way.

Miracles aren't supposed to happen any more. Go read the Bible. Whatever is helping you, is the Dark Forces/Devil/demons/ anything evil.

You know, even if God doesn't exist, I think religion is great because if you break it down to its most basic form, it's just guidelines on how to live a good life, and being a good person is more important than anything else.

I was taught in Catholicism that God and Science, although they often conflict with eachother nowadays, are meant to work together. Each answers the other's questions, and you can have both in your life.

I just re-read what I wrote and I apologize if you have trouble understanding what I'm saying.

Interesting but once a very famous person tested god scientiffically by planting 2 rows of turnips and asking god to bless one and curse the other and the results concluded that there is no god because both turnips went the same good(gram?) and i can clearly see that the results of your unscientiffic experiment were conicedental and did not prove there is a god.

What about blood-weeping statues and stigmata? Yes, quite boring miracles but they are attributed to "Good" and not "Evil".

These are events that you payed special attention to because you were thinking or preying before they happend, so you kept these stored in memory with a special tag, If you were really in tune with the Gods, they would respond to your every command. That means you would be able to prove it on live TV. If you were a God, you would have the power to throw lighning bolts, or blow out candles from a distance, so that Means you would have proof for live TV. But I havent seen anything in the news anything close to this so, From our records everything in our realilty is all Coincidence, That is what you seen pure coincidence.

Christianity is largely faith based, and if God were to give proof like this, there would be no need for faith. If God did this it would take away the choice of believing or not believing.

It's just like the person in the car wreck who says God saved them from bleeding to death on the pavement. No, if he was really with you, you wouldn't have wrecked in the first place. Or 9/11 wouldn't have happened, or the hurricane, or what have you. Either he doesn't care/doesn't exist/is an asshole OR he saves everyone. He can't have it both ways.

He saves those that believe in Him. Yes, they die sometimes, but [supposedly] they go to a better place.

I want to know why Christians say "It's all God's plan."

How could a said merciful God include so much death, suffering, malnutrition, injustices, destruction, malice, etc, etc, etc. to be such a HUGE part of his glorious plans for us.

I think the whole idea of free will is kept alive by Christians who can't defend their [and the existence of] God.

They say they KNOW this and they KNOW that. Bullshit. They feel it. They've convinced themselves of a nonsensical and [in my mind] nonexistant being.

This is interesting. This guy has obviously not proven that God exists, yet you do not insult or attempt to undermine his argument in a cheap sort of way. You all just posted clear minded thoughts that went against the topic in a very organized fashion. Since when is Totse about constructive arguments? lol

Clarphimous, you struck gold with your first few sentences. It's all about probability. Why did you go off on a completely different idea that involves the supernatural? You're mixing science and fiction, and everyone knows science fiction is not generally accepted. Yet you posted what you did.

Perhaps this is why science is valued over fiction - because fiction can always possibly be a lie. I could lie to you right now and say that I have heard of several people who have put out candles with there minds and you wouldn't know what to think. Science can be observed and not rely on 'someone's word'.

But why would someone lie? What's in it for them to do so? But I don't think you're lying - I think that you just have a unique view of things. I have experienced this several times before. I witness the same event as someone else, and the description of this event by that person is severely exaggerated. You're not lying - you just enjoy fiction and perceive things in this way.

Your a shit QStrange

why the hell would you think this

go to a mental hospital.

Joke

But serious, my god has helped me in a way that I never thought possible.

When I was about 5 I was suffering from severe night-mares every night. They were so serious that I had to have some psychiatrist appointments.

But they didn't work so my dad suggested praying to God Asking for "Religious night-mare protection now 97% fat free"(had to do that) And I have never had I night mare ever after that EVER, NO JOKE THIS IS SERIOUS. that was about 7 years ago.

I have a feeling something is wrong with this so i might edit later(spel?).

Perhaps because dreams are reflections of your thoughts and your subconscious, and as you were a pliable 5 year old that's all it took?

I once asked god to get me this really hot girl. i did get her. but that doesn't mean some all powerful being had anything to do with it.

besides, as he is all-perfect he can't change, he's in a state of constant self-awareness. a trance on himself. that's the only way perfection functions. essentially there's no way an all-perfect god can do anything other than that because it would be change and that would mar his perfection, making him unperfect.

so basically candles going out and rain, natural occurances, don't add up to proof of anything. falling out of a window means your parents didn't watch you enough, and since you were dumb enough to do that i can simply disregard your "proof" as i don't believe you're intelligent enough to see god even if one existed.

by the way, the French Quarter of new orleans was mostly saved, and there's where the girls gone wild video for mardi gras was from, along with all the massive partying and sex. yep, god saves those who believe in him right?

So the only thing that allows us to choose to believe in god is ignorance of whether he actually exists or not?

Now it is such a bizarrely improbably coincidence that anything so mindbogglingly useful as the Babel fish could have evolved by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God.

The argument goes something like this:

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."

"But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
