Re: Thought Itself
Thought is what goes in your head. People don't know what goes in their heads, unless they're able to make a contact with their own mind. One such link could lead to madness though. The brain functions in ways itself cannot comprehend. Makes sense? No. Look at it this way. It leads you to smell things which aren't there, hear thing which don't make sound, see things that don't exist, reveal things which are forbidden.
How can you create a word for an emotion so that everyone understands it? You cannot. It creates confusion. We operate on an individual level, of selfishness. Our verbal communication techniques, are very limited. For most at least. People communicate through vision and sound, but most of the time, not through words. By the tone of our voice, and look on our face, a brain can pick up what that person is feeling, and lay a link with something equal or similar you've felt.
Fortunately, or unfortunately, this physical dependency makes it impossible for idiots to express themselves on the Internet. Communication without the body is only reserved for a select few.
As for thought, it's only you rehashing memories and trying to make sense of them. Who are you, and what makes your thought? Why, you are a composition of the cerebral stack of memories you witnessed with your senses.
Take a baby, plug its eyes out, destroy its whole nervous system, cut out its ears, cut off its tongue, burn its nose. You get the picture. Feed it through a tube. Do you believe it will develop thought? Should we ask it? Mime it? Write it? Ass, we're stuck!
But there you sit, asking your thought what your thought is, with the idea that if you ask enough times, you'll get an answe... EUREKA!!!!
...no, nope. Almost, but no cigar. Have you ever asked a rock what a rock is? I huffed a whole lot of ether once and held a conversation with my ceiling. Even though my ceiling had no mouth, ears, eyes or nose, we could still understand each other. Or maybe I was making decisions for a lifeless object through my thought. Was I even thinking? Have you ever done this with a human, instead a ceiling? It's the stuff arrogance is made of. Ooops! We created a human habit by merely thinking! A bad habit at that. Okay, let's not think in the future then.

What was I thinking about again? Okay, never mind, let's think about something else. No, I like what we were just thinking about. Maybe thought is just a bunch of really midgety like creatures in your head arguing over what you should be thinking about. Maybe your head is the USS Enterprise. Captain Picard keeps logging a whole lot of shit, but whenever you need your thought to make a stand, Scottie just can't find you that power. God I hate trekkie nerds. But then you're thinking how seven of nine is a hot bitch, and how that female captain whose name you forgot is a MILF.

In a container or jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine red wine vinegar, minced garlic to taste, salt, pepper, fresh chopped oregano leaves and olive oil. Shake to blend thoroughly.
In a large bowl, combine romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, green onions, feta cheese and kalamata olives. Toss to mix thoroughly. Add dressing and toss, or serve salad in individual bowls with dressing served separately.
But then, your stomach forces you to think about something completely different.
