Default Who is the real God???

I'm Satanist. my brother is Christian. my friend is Wiccan. my other friend is aethiest. we've all decided that there is no way to tell which of our gods is real or if, truly (In the aethiests position) there is a god at all. all of us have some good agruements... except for me. i'm Satanist only because i want to sin as much as possible. but that's irrelivant. is there some amazing power? or is nature the true creator? or is there no god? i realize that no one in TOTSE can really 100% answer that, so i'm just asking for asking for opinions and srguements

you must not know much about satanism, mabey you are new to it. but they don't believe in the christian sins. the things which are recognized as christian sins are regarded to by the satanist as human nature and things which are sometimes to be indulged in when it is fit

some satanists do however have their own set of sins which are as follows:

The Nine Satanic Sins

1. Stupidity**8212;The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It**8217;s too bad that stupidity isn**8217;t painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.

2. Pretentiousness**8212;Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn**8217;t applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone**8217;s made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.

3. Solipsism**8212;Can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you naturally give them. They won**8217;t. Instead, Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of **8220;Do unto others as they do unto you.**8221; It**8217;s work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point.

4. Self-deceit**8212;It**8217;s in the **8220;Nine Satanic Statements**8221; but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when it**8217;s fun, and with awareness. But then, it**8217;s not self-deceit!

5. Herd Conformity**8212;That**8217;s obvious from a Satanic stance. It**8217;s all right to conform to a person**8217;s wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many.

6. Lack of Perspective**8212;Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraints**8212;know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world.

7. Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies**8212;Be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality it**8217;s something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society.

8. Counterproductive Pride**8212;That first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you**8217;ve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I**8217;m sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it.

9. Lack of Aesthetics**8212;This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. It**8217;s not what**8217;s supposed to be pleasing**8212;it**8217;s what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of one**8217;s own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.

Its not possible to determine objectively which God is the true God.

You must make that determination for yourself.

Listen to me. listen to me hard and good and hear avery syllable i am about to say as if it were the last you'll ever hear. I am an affiliate of the Church of Satan and in great regard. I have memorized the better portion of the Satanic Bible. our civilization HAS NO SINS. we are centered on self-indulgence. We do not recognize Satan as in the being of Lucifer. we recognize the darkness and the power that can come with it. do not insult me or my religion again ar i will be forced to get angry!!!

You can piss him off today... he said he got laid and he's in a good mood.. so there is no need to fear him hunting us down and killing us.

How old are you? Maybe you should leave Satanism representation up to someone with grammar?

Some food for thought...

first you say you are a satanist because you want to sin as much as possible. then you say our civilization has no sins. you're not making any sense, you seem pretty stupid.

besides, if you were a satanist then you wouldn't consider the christian sins to be sins, what you would consider sins would be the 9 things i listed or something similar.

i could go on and on about the ignorance in both your posts but i just realized what a waste of time it is, so i'm stopping now

On a certian ideological level that is actually true. The mechanics of the universe are infinitecimally complex, but the origin is quite simple. Just take a look at my post(http://www.totse.com/bbs/Forum15/HTML/004134.html). If you can agree that 1=1 Then I can convince you (with about three days time) that infinity is not infinity and the following statement is completely true.

Everything is nothing and nothing is everything.

So, assuming you accept mathematics to be true then nothing really exists. The entire universe could have well been created from a tiny spark of energy which could have been something like an idea. So, the universe really is what you make of it.

the true god is not some judging crazy person or a demonic entity. its the life energy that exists for the sole purpose of existing. i've done some pondering on the subject and i believe that the true god is faith in something thats unknown. blind faith nefver helps anyone. i believe in the living universe, reincarnation, alternate realities and things like that.

The true god is one that speeks to you. If you dont believe that there is any god, then find it from within. Look into yourself to find your own personal god, one only you know. christianity and all other organized religions are bullshit. you dont have to constrict yourself to thier beliefs.

look within and find what makes you happy, horney, and fucked up...cheers!

First you need to know that sin is an illusion, a myth created by the priesthood to help keep the flock in line. Satan. likewise, is a myth. Most Wiccan theology today was concocted by Gerald Gardner and A. Crowley, so go figure.

The real god has no preference regardng your behavior, so long as it reflects your greatest conception of yourself.

And BTW, Satanism a la Anton LeVey is a joke; don't take it seriously. Authentic Satanism is merely perverted Christianity.

as far as a real god no one can be for certain, though i feel the meaning of life lies with religion, i am a christian the meaning of life for me is working towards my salvation, with the beleif in your religion you can denounce others religions, for instance i denounce satanism because it contradicts my belife in the meaning of life , self indulgence and all that sinning and stupid stuff, personally i think all you satanists have thrown your purpose and meaning to life away and can should go ahead and lie on your death bed,

Dont take the lie on your death bed thing literaly i dont want anyone to die, but reconsider your choices, my point is repent why risk losing your salvation b/c you want to sin?

and please dont give me any crap about religion induced by fear, there is nothing wrong with fear your whole lives are based around fear otherwise we would have total anarchy
