No, the Roman's killed christ, even the pope admitted that back in 1975, seems you're a little behind on the news. Plus the jews worshipped god first, they're kinda like the firstborn in a way. Set to gain the inheritance from god, so you noobie children just try to kill them off to get it for yourselves, but god works in mysterious ways.

Well, religiously speaking, when someone close to you dies, and you think "why would god take the only thing that mattered to me", it is a test for you. If life was all pretty and beautiful, then that would motivate you to believe in god. It is kind of messed up, but basically, it is a big test, to see when something bad happens, if you turn your back to god.

In psychology class we learned of 6 levels of morals. You saw this from the level 1 point of view, which is simply ME is all that matters. Your argument completely fails to realize that any of these people had lives of their own. To explain this to you: Imagine if ME was placed in a death camp. ME was forced to work for 3 years for things ME does not believe in. ME risks being shot in the back of the head if ME does not comply. ME's abusers like to play with ME's mind by doing things like shooting random people in rows, and leaving people like ME with the shit scared out of them for their life. ME works hard for 3 years, then is simply shot in the back of the head anyways for no good reason.

Well, I am dead tired right now, but what I got from that was, that ME working and getting abused for 3 years, and starving, and suffering and pain and such, and at the end, I get shot in the back of the head. Well, how do you know ME isn't going to go to heaven, maybe god thinks that ME has suffered enough, and should be rewarded. Sorry if your post meant something different.

No, that was supposed to get you to think about how god respected the people who did die, instead of just how you put it about how this death effected you. The person who died had a life as well and was simply forsaken by "god". Hopefully this explanation is better.

poster : i have thought of these things too, the only answer that i have come up with is that this world(time) is so small compared to eternal life, that all of the bad things that happen are insignificant when you look at the big picture. they are bad now, but once they are over it will be cool.

edit :

as the phsyc dude said, from the POV of the chinese people, they were finally released from this hell we call earth, and got to go into heaven.

people dying is actually good, because it is an end to (their)suffering.

If you actually believe in a god/religion you would know that this life is a big test, and heaven/hell is where we live our life for eternity. So that person who did die, has passed the 'test' and maybe is going to heaven?

So their test involved suffering anitsemitism their whole lives, then suffering as their life accomplishments are thrown away as Nazis take over Germany, then they are gathered up and made to work to help Nazis kill others of their people faster, as they are starved.

Our test is to be born into a rich healthy community in which we face no hatred or discrimination or inequality.

...God... nothing to say.

The people who died in the Nazi camps could very well be in heaven right now. It is almost if they a free pass into heaven. OR god uses them to test us, after we see something like that, we wonder if there actually is a god.

Death is Satan's plaything, not God's.

If you ONLY read Genesis, you will see that death entered into the world when Satan fell...not when God created it.

The Jews were God's chosen people from the beginning of time.

However, Biblical accounts tell us that they repeatedly took Him for granted, and rebelled against Him...

He finally left them to their own devices, and they have been in nothing but trouble ever since. His hedge of protection was taken away from them, by their own request.

They wil regain their glory and honor in the end.

It would be cool if you read the Bible, and stopped blaming God for everything "bad" you don't understand.

Allowing pain and suffering doesn't make God NOT benevolent.

I just can't understand how this simple concept is lost on you. :-( Not trying to be mean, truly.

One thing most of you are forgetting is that Jews were Gods chosen people a long time ago. After Christ's death, they are no better than anyone else.

Find some other way to be a dumbass.

First, they are STILL God's chosen people. Don't throw stones while playing in glass houses, please.

I know you mean well, but you are really combative, and your opinion loses all merit because of this. We are all guilty of that, so please don't think me to be blindly hypocritical...but I think you ought to tone it down a little.

The Jews never lost God's favor...did you miss the splendor the Jews will relish in once Christ comes back for his Church ?

*shakes head*

It certainly does. You have yet to prove otherwise.

Your argument that pain and suffering have good qualities (in that they get us closer to god etc.), is not only circular logic, but still wrong, since if he was omnipotent he would have the power to keep those good qualities, yet have them not cause us suffering. That he does not do so, means that his is not benevolent.

As anyone should be able to see, the point is lost on you, not me.

No. Any beneveolent god will do.

The point being, it was obvious he had to be referring to a god which is supposedly benevolent, which ever it may be, in order for his argument to make any sense.

I'm atheist so I'm not going to argue you that god exists, but why are you so pissed that other people believe in god? If god does exist what makes you think he has to care about you? What makes you think you even know what love is and what gives you the right to evaluate how god loves you. I mean, if god did create all this we are only loved and only love by it's standards of love, so if god doesn't love you, that may be just you. It may be all of us. May be god took a vacation. May be he doesn't exist and may be he just doesn't give a shit.

Any of the ways, quit being a whiny little bitch because your pissing me off.

No wonder god hates you.

Cheers,

Lost
