Default My Experience

I have never really been religeous, although I have been christened. I admit to attacking Christianity in intelligent debate on many occasions, in the sense that people are following a static set of 'morals' and 'ethics'.

I now beleive in God and refer to myself as a Christian. It all started one night out of the blue, I prayed to God telling him about my life. The interesting thing is that next day was one of the greatest days of my life, and for no reason at all. I felt alive even after 5 hours of sleep.

I saw everything in a different light, the scenery was more vibrant and marvelous and I couldn't help feeling an internal happiness. Walking through the city I looked at people going about thier business and felt warm and priviledged.

I am happy. I treat people with respect, I always did, but no longer because it is an expected attribute of society, but because I WANT TO. Happy can't describe the way I feel.

I am the ultimate capitalist with the every man is responsible for his own happiness mentality and I do not want that to change as it's my drive in life but I can't help but feel something else.

Today I came to totse with the intention of coming to this forum, I typed in the URL and there it was the religeon forum in the hot topics. I found it interesting as I've never seen it there before.

Anyway, there.

Default Re: My Experience

sounds good. there deffinetly seems to be something to prayer and all that jazz. theres even studies that suggest prayer can help speed up the healing of patients in critical condition (check out www.near-death.com (http://www.near-death.com) its on there somewhere..).

meditation and probably prayer are a couple things everyone should do

I love meditation.

And I'm glad for you. If that's what you've decided and it's turned your life out better, good.
