Default Equidistant Sequences

If you don't know what Equidistant Sequences are: some specialists believe that, when the bible is put into a grid form, and using various mathematical codes, you can find prophetic statements. I know that there are supposedly many different formations that the words can come in, but that they have to be a certain distance from each other, and they have to be in certain formations.

What I want to know is if anybody has actually looked into this, and if they have, what have they found? What do people think about this? I take the same approach to it as I do everything: I'm not betting on it, but it wouldn't surprise me.

For instance, even if it is bullshit and we're only seeing it because we're looking for it, I don't know if it really matters. It's still there, so it's still true. If that makes sense.

Sometimes lies are more truthfull than the truth, I guess.

God, I'm wasted.

Cheers,

Lost

Yeah, and the astrology is a "study".

Seriously, religous books make fascism okay. In fact, religous books make fascism moral. In fact, religous people make me wish Stalin was God.

This begs the question. Was Stalin really a Vampire?

I think the whole point is Stalin is so much hotter than Adolf.

I'd hit it.

It's the Moustache of Power. Every great, super-hot leader has the Moustache of Power. It's as necessary as a cape.

I have looked into it, just a little. The problem i found is that i dont know Hebrew (so i wouldnt recognize a "hit" if it was pointed out to me.

Something else seems to make this difficult also. The way i understand, the original Hebrew (atleast in the 1st 5 books of the Bible) did not use vowels.

Crappy example but..I live in wisconsin (Green Bay Packers), and today i saw this license plate:

CHG IS GD

The rival (american) football team of the Packers is the Chicago Bears. So did the plate mean 1)Chicago is God 2)Change is good ....the example doesnt matter, but i hope that it illustrates that understanding the language (context) makes the difference.

When I was a kid I went to hebrew school and learned hebrew. I don't remember it, because it never applied to day to day life, but I remember the basics. I can read it, somewhat. Understand it, somewhat. And I at least know the alphabet.

Point is, the hebrew alphabet does not apply vowels. You are correct. I just want to illustrate that the hebrew alphabet still doesn't use vowels.

About a century or less than ago somebody (whose name I can't remember) employed a sequence of dots and dashes in hebrew - in place of vowels - to make it more compatible with "world language".

In any case, yea, not knowing hebrew would be a big problem. Only, (and I'm not sure about this) I believe the supposed code is also partially in english.

So, I don't think you're at a disadvantage.

Given a large enough volume of text, the "code" works for pretty much anything. I'm pretty sure the same thing has been done with the book Moby Dick. Shit, you could plug all of the text from totse in there and it would work...

I read about it in this book that sort of debunked it.

If you put enough time at writing a formula to try and fit your needs you will eventually succeed.

And as previously mentioned, it also works with all other large texts.

I've heard that before but there is a couple of problems with this...

a. supposedly, it only works for the first five books of the Bible (in the original Hebrew)

b. close proximity (often times crossing) of word "theme" with the same ENS , with, in many cases, dates.

...Example:

Yitzhak Rabin/Name of Assassin Who Will Assassinate/Amir/Name Of Assassin/ Rabin Assassination/ In 5756/ Tel Aviv

Like i said before, i dont know Hebrew, so i cant verify it for myself. I've read "The Bible Code" a few years ago. Although i found it interesting, the author (Michael Drosnin) left me with the impression that he felt that the code was there for warnings so that we might change the future, instead of just Prophecies so that we would know it were true.

If he were right, and the code is there so we can change the future and we used it for that, wouldnt that make the code false...

because we would never know if the prophecy would have come true.

Lost, if you are interested, i think you can download the program, but i'm not sure what the site is.

I've spoken to quite a few, very well read biblical scholars, and they have all said that it's basically bunk.

You could pattern anything.
