Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

I have a .pwd file, and John the ripper, but i cant load the password list to crack with the .pwd file, ive used JTP before and succesfully crackd files, but ive gone through various formatings and cannot remeber how to use it now since its been a long time, could anyone help me on how to crack the .pwd file. thanks

I believe that .pwd files are for Windows and John the Ripper is for unix password files.
This would probably be more at home in NS&H

What kind of .pwd file are we talking about? AutoCAD? Or did you mean .pwl?

Try turning it into somthing like Name:Password: UserID:PrincipleGroup:Gecos: HomeDirectory:Shell
Just replace everything apart from name and password with x's
