| Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net. |

What has become of this?
Has this board become a Sub7 Q&A forum? It seams like every other thread is about sub 7 and how to hide it or use it. Whatever happened to javascript spoofing and SQL injection and most importantly the easiest of all hack social engineering? Cmon people theres more to hacking than trojans....

Re: What has become of this?
u do realise sql injection is probably the first thing to be patched up, you'd be better off putting a trojan in the jpeg buffer overflow exploit and emailing it to the webmaster or something simliar..
but see trojans are an advanced concept, the biggest flaw in security is all human. or based off it. the code made for a website may be checked many times by a person or hired testers but someone opening an email doesnt have experts examine it before they open it.
this 'real hacking' concept you talk about is nothing more than nmaping a computer, searching for exploits on all the software on it, and posibly running a cgi scanner on its webpage.

Re: What has become of this?
And your lame excuse of hacking is sending a trojan to the webmaster? Chances are hes not going to open it. Anyway SQL injection is only patched perfectly rarley theres always a security hole in the source and thats the point... to try to find it. Just all these script kiddies I don't mind if you somehow make your own undetectable trojan, but some 7th grader searched google for hacking found this site and sub7.net? Thats just too gay.

Re: What has become of this?
Actuallty sql injection is the last to be patched even ebay.com, gmail, microsoft (use google is you don't believe me) and many others are still vulnerable the exploits are patched very quickly and nobody will open any mail with .exe .vbs .js .scr wich contains some lame trojan which even can't bypass a simple firewall or even a AV. And cybios is right this becoming a board on where to download sub7 and why trojans are better then exploits and hunders of others techniques. You probably don't know shit about sql injection (or any other technique) if you say such things.
HACKING ISN'T USING TROJANS, after you have succesfully exploited a server you can use a rootkit or if you are to stupid to use or write a rootkit then use your own home programmed trojan.

Re: What has become of this?
nobody wants to learn hacking, they just want to use sub7 to ruin somebodies life and laugh about it with their friends.
