happy new years people.

So tonight i was out on the town (really not that big). I was drunk and danced with lots of chicks... it was nice! Then it was even nicer when i found on the ground this brand new nokia. It was turned off by my friend pretty fast so that the owner didnt call. We just wanted the phone. It says on the inside its a nokia 3220 type RH-37 whatever that means. Its almost totally new... it doesnt have ONE scratch.

My friend wanted to buy it for like nothing and i said allright. He put his simcard in and turned it on. It says input pin: He does that and you cant even push OK.

i guess its locked somehow. What can i do?

I have already sold it if i cant unlock it, to some other guy that says he can unlock it if he gets it. But if i unlock it myself i can sell it for lots more. Anyways ill earn some money for it even if i cant unlock it. I think this gay lost it when he had a fight with the cops (he really is gay. He said so in the newspaper). Sorrry if this is amazingly wierd written but i am norwegian and drunk. I found the phone like 3 hours ago. I just got home.

Ahh not my problem. Somebody else would have stepped on it and then kicked it into the water. Now it atleast its gonna get me some quick money. If i lost my cell there and then got carried away by 4 cops and into a cop car then i wouldnt even go looking for it!

I dont feel guilty. That makes me a even worse person than taking the phone in the beginning. I know.... its sad.

Let me explain somthing to you. When you get a cell phone, the provider (ex. cingular) will put a "lock" on the phone, so that you can only use their sim cards in that particular phone. Now it is possible to unlock the phone, and there are certain, codes, is you will in which to do this. However, each "code" is specific to the type of phone, and the IMEI number (which can be located underneath the battery) Now I know some people are thinking, well not all phones have an IMEI number, but you have already stated that the phone uses a sim card (cant think of the techincal term, I want to say GSM but I can't remember, I'm to tired) Now my guess is your friends sim card, hence his service, was from another provider, which wouold mean, in order for this sim card to work, you need to find someone who can supply you with that "code"

I noticed someone posted cellphonehacks.com that was the one place that I knew people would do it for free, I know it is done on ebay for a few bucks a pop.

Turns out the phone was locked to another service provider then mine. I have something called netcom.... it was locked to telenor.

My other friend had telenor! worked like a charm. I traded it against a set of rims for my audi! Nice deal for me and him!
