Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net.

Default Gain Admin With DOS??

OK, my highschool computers are locked with every feature that you need to use a computer. I.E (C drive, Internet{WebSense}, control panel, and the right click on the mouse). They run windows XP. Is there any possible way to change any of this using DOS?? This would be good to actually use a real computer.

Open up gpedit.msc via the dos prompt and configure the options. That allows you to use the run command, access to the C drive and more.

That'll only work if your admin is a moron.

That'll also only work if your admin is a moron, and allows you to boot from CD. Even if it did work, chances are you'd still only have local admin unless the domain one never changed.

That will only open if you already have elevated rights... admin rights for example.

Again, you need admin rights to get this done.

Probably your best best (unless your admin is a moron is to reset your BIOS password, then boot from a live CD of some sort.

Why the fuck do you need to get admin at your school? You know teachers gradebooks have individual passwords you'd have to crack correct?

more than likely they disable c: control panel and right click and others from the registry disable setting (use reg3dit, registry editor cracked not to look at the policy setting).

this is local registry, use chntpw to open the localsystem hive and change those policys.

chntpw can boot from cd rom or floppy,

and its built on linux so u knoppix fans cant complain too much about the variant.

also from chntpw you can change the local admin account if u need admin access that bad and look at the hash (run against rainbow tables for the original pass - and if they clone hard disks like most dumbass admins do the ssid for local admin is the same and so is the password which pretty much means you have control over the domain.)

and school systems like mine - the teachers submit all their evaluations and marks and shit onto the central server.

what works in my school.

right click on the desktop

new-shortcut

in the space where it says "shortcut targe" type in C:

boom, you've got everything. at least in my school, using that we even get regedit (but what sucks is the blocking software for the web is on the server, so we can't turn it off)

If you can boot from CD, can't you use the Win2000 CD to get local admin rights?

Ok i went back through some stuff i jotted down recently and heres what i got *if it is altiris your school uses* altiris only checks the name of the files you run so if you were to copy a file such as cmd in the windows folder and paste it somewhere else and rename it it would work fine. using net send is always fun in classes chatting with friends in other computer classes around the school. I got alot more just ask for what you need.
