Network (in)Security Interesting hacks and cracks. Info on firewalls, TCP/IP, encryption, networks, and security. The ins and outs of the phone system, caller services, how things work, what's illegal and what's not, cellular phones, beepers, telephony legislation, the PUC, ISDN, taps, who's listening, and switches. Talking about phones, hacking systems, technical advice, and such is completely LEGAL in the United States -- it's covered by the First Amendment. What's illegal is conspiracy to commit a crime. So if you say something like "Meet me at 2am so we can crack a can" or "I changed my cell phone's number myself" you are criminally liable. Stating "You can crack a can by doing thus-and-so" or "If you wanted to change a cell phone's number, you could do it like so" is perfectly OK. Posting passwords, calling card numbers, or credit card numbers is forbidden on this network. Posting such info will get you booted off the net.

Default internet filter

ok, im a hacker that doesn't rely on tools but uses backdoors and glitches he finds on systems - its more legal that way, and i cant figure out most of the programs (interfaces are usually really ugly and compicated lol) but anywy onto the reason for this topic.

i after 10 business studies lessons in the computer room have found a method around internet filters that will work on any lan, heres how it goes

A while back at my school we used to internet connection wizard to bypass the smartfilter, but of course the mods cottoned on and deleted the it, and although everyone else was dismayed and quit trying i didnt.

so i set about thinking, that logically no school or college computer mod is going to be that smart, otherwise he'd get himself a better paying job.

i also realised that with the msword gltich of being able to get into c:/ drive on any comp - i was sorted

so i set about finding the batch files, witch turned out to be in drive p:/ - i then set about the finding the internet explorer 5.5 folder, then looked for icw, then downlaoded it to my username - now i have uncontrollable access to the internet - and if i spent long enoghu i could get all kinds of privelages.

this is kind of long, but if you read it then hopefully it will have helped you in your quest for freedom and rebellion against the damn mods at schools e.tc

Since most schools just block keywords, you can also bypass it via doing a domain whois lookup on the website, locate the IP and put that in your address bar.

There is nothing "more legal" about what you're doing. Either it's legal or illegal.
