Could someone please try to explain in Idiotology how to use the Brute Forcer.

This would be easier if you some specific questions about the use of that prog, but here goes anyway.. The first thing you have to know is that it only comes with the definition file for excite. You will need a definition file for whatever site it is you are trying to brute force. A definition file is simply a text file that the brute forcer uses to feed the info to the server in the way that it will understand, as well as receive the response since they are not all similar. You can get more of them from hackology.com, but if you need one they dont have, you will have to learn how to write one. That is the only part of the prog that takes any thought.

Enter a username in the box (yes you need a username at least..)

Select a password file for it to try out. A password file is a list of words that people might use. You can download more of them from all over the place, but the prog comes with one, and it is loaded by default.

Enter the definition file to use, as already explained. Once again, it already comes with one (from excite) loaded by default.

The rest of the options are pretty self explanatory. You can narrow it down if you have an idea of what the password 'might' be, or at least what the restrictions might be, such as a minimum length, special characters, case sensitive, and so on.
