wooden baseball bats or the metal kind? which is better

Wooden I think, when who hit something you don't get a vibration that can sometimes be painful. Also metal can clang up against something and is a pain in the ass if you are trying to be quiet.

wood breaks, metal doesn't, thats the only reason little leagues play with metal, less wood splinters in little jimmy's eyes. If it wasn't for that, wood is better. Destructively, this is opposite, more bang for your buck with metal, plus it hurts like hell even if you just accidentally lightly hit yourself in the knee with one, full speed I've thankfuly never experienced.
