Unless you have a really powerful bb rifle, you dont need a scope if you stay within a short enough range to pierce it. The things you are talking about are pretty tough and thick, and you would have to be pretty close to pierce it. well, not close close, but you definately wouldnt need a scope for that range. Well, unless you are a shitty marksman, which you could be.
