Guide to Armed Robbery

By Jihad Joe.

People seem to be under the impression that armed robbery is a bad idea, but actually it’s very easy and quite profitable. I’m sure you’ll all say that this thread is shitty, but that’s just because you don’t have the balls to do it.

It’s really not as difficult or as risky as you think, even the lowliest of drug addicts and dim-witted people can get away with this crime, so if you have half a brain then you’ll easily be able to pull this off.

In this guide I’ll discuss all the things you’ll need to know to effectively rob a store such as 7-11 or somewhere similar. Bank robbery is not covered in the guide because it has a very low success rate and requires much more detailed information about the specific security systems that different banks use.

Research & Planning

Doing a bit of research and properly planning is extremely important and is vital to the success of your operation.

Firstly, you must make certain that you are familiar with the area so you know exactly how to get there and how to get out. You need to plan the place that you’re going to rob as well as the day and time of the robbery; they will have larger amounts of money on different days and at different times. If you’re unsure of what day they have more money then don’t worry, it isn’t that important, but if you go at night then they’ll have all of the days earnings. Don’t go too late though; stores that are open late are weary of robbers at night so they put the money in a safe a few hours before closing.

You also need to acquire a car which should be freshly stolen and ought to have false licence plates attached otherwise it may be identified as stolen before the robbery, and you also must decide where you’ll park the car and where you will drive to afterwards. (there’s plenty of info on totse about car theft)

Disguise

After you’ve committed the crime the police will talk to witnesses to get a good description of the offender (you). What the police will ask about are things such as height, build, gender, race, hair colour, clothing, accent, and any prominent features i.e. big nose, large scar, tattoos, lazy eye etc.

What you’ll need to do is convincingly alter or disguise your features. Obviously, it is very important to wear a balaclava or ski mask so that you can’t be recognized easily. That said, there will still be certain features listed above which you can’t hide with a ski mask.

Of course, you can’t change your height or build (in a short space of time) and men won’t be able to convincingly look like women, but it is possible for women to disguise themselves as men as long as you wear a ski mask – just tape down your boobs and wear bulky, masculine clothing and don’t talk.

As for race, get some brown make up (if you’re white) and apply it around you eye area, which should be the only part of your skin showing. If you have blue or green eyes then wear dark brown contact lenses. I’m not sure whether black people could wear white makeup and actually appear to be a white person and not just look like a clown, but it’s worth a try.

Hair colour can easily be changed and should be done shortly after the robbery. If you like you could dye it a new colour just before the robbery and then dye it back to your original colour straight afterwards before any of your friends or family see you with the temporary colour.

Always wear special clothing designated for the robbery, you mustn’t be seen in it before or afterwards, as someone may recognise you. Clothing ought to be plain black because it’s indistinct, I also think it’s best to wear a large jacket or coat because it hides your skin and build

These disguises are optional but I recommend using at least some form disguise, preferably gender or race, so that when the offender is described as a six foot tall black man with purple hair, and you are a six foot tall white guy with brown hair then you will be eliminated as a suspect completely.

Just a note though, your disguise must be convincing, otherwise you’ll have defeated the purpose of wearing a disguise.

Entry

There are a few different methods of entry -

#1.Walk into the store as a normal customer, collect a few items, and proceed to the checkout. When you get there, either tell them or pass them a note informing them that this is a robbery and they must hand over all the cash. The downside of this is that you will be showing your face.

#2.A group of people storm in through the entrance wearing ski masks making it instantly clear that this is a robbery.

#3. A variation of #2. If the register is nearer to the back of the store, you should enter though the back entrance that the staff use, so that the staff don’t have enough time to set off an alarm while you’re approaching them.

#4. Drop down from the roof. Not entirely practical for such a small operation, but there are situations where it may be appropriate, so keep this in mind. (I have heard of this method being used successfully at a Sydney shopping center where the thieves used the roof as an escape.)

#5. Have a friend inside the store pretending to be a customer and get them to call you when they think it’s a good time for the main group to enter i.e. when there are fewer customers or to ensure there aren’t any policemen already in the store. This is probably over-cautious.

The Robbery

Ideally, you should be armed. If you choose not to arm yourself then there’s a chance that you won’t be taken seriously and will just be told to piss off. You don’t want that to happen. On the other hand, armed robbery has far greater consequences if by chance you get caught. Either use a knife or a gun, or a fake gun.

It is imperative that you do not kill or cause harm to anyone. This will increase the severity of your crime. Instead of just being armed robbery, you will have also committed assault or even murder, thus making you a dangerous criminal and the police will allocate more money and resources towards your arrest. Your chances of success will have diminished.

The simple armed robbery of a store is something that can be done solo, but you might like to have a larger group until you have confidence. There is certainly no need to have more than four, and they’ll need to be close friends that won’t blab or boast.

If you do have a group, then have one person to give orders, another to round up the customers into one corner to keep them in view so they don’t go and call the cops, another to stand at the entrance to keep lookout, and if you have a fourth person in your group then they can either wait in the car, or they can give orders to a second attendant. You must all wear gloves.

Once you have entered the store and approached the counter where the staff are, then you must give orders either verbally or written. You can hand the attendant a note which simply reads “This is a robbery, give me all your money” or “Your money or your life!”. If you do choose to hand them a note, then it is essential that your writing is legible so as not to cause confusion or delays. Likewise, if you are giving orders verbally you will need to be clear and concise. Don’t yell too loudly because this will scare the attendant and make them piss themselves or be shaky and slow.

Now don’t go and get the money yourself, make the staff do it. This keeps them busy hence preventing them from activating any alarms or calling the pigs. Hand them a bag (you should have at least two) to put the money in and if there is more than one staff member, make the other one fill up a bag with cigarettes. Don’t use plastic bags; they’re too fiddly. I suggest using calico-type bags preferably with a zip although that’s not necessary and will possibly just waste time.

Remain calm and focused throughout. You need also to be sober and not on any drugs, so you have a clear head.

Escape

Once you have got the cash you will need to leave the scene very quickly. Don’t have the car parked directly outside the store but rather have it parked behind the store, or around a corner close-by. As soon as you leave they’ll be on the phone to the cops and you don’t want them to have a description of your car, so it must be out of view.

The driver of the car needs to be skilled and confident, and know his/her way around the area. Don’t speed; it will only attract unwanted attention. It’s a good idea to have a second vehicle at an appropriate location. If a cop car isn’t following you then you can park close by the second vehicle and swap, abandoning the first stolen car. Then drive to a safe house or leave the car a reasonable distance from your house and walk the rest of the way. Remember, the car is stolen so you won’t want to have it parked right outside your house.

If somehow you find yourself being followed by a police car (not likely) then abandon the car not too far away from the second car, and run through the streets or bushland or wherever and once you’ve outrun the police get into the second car and leave. Storm water drains are infinitely useful in these situations. I must emphasise the importance of the positioning of the second car. It ought to be tailored to suit your area, this is why you need to know the neighbourhood like back of your hand. You should aim to have the second car parked at the end of a long trail or area of parkland that you know well, the pigs will easily get lost in the dark if they’re not familiar with the landscape, plus they’ll have to chase you on foot, and we all know how fat piggies are.

Notes

Don’t worry about any cameras if you’re wearing a ski mask. Their primary purpose is as a deterrent for shoplifters and thieves, and so that if anything major occurs the police will use the footage to help determine the order of events. Don’t waste your time smashing them.

Fitness is also required if you need to outrun cops and jump fences etc.

I should also add that most my advice is over-cautious. You don’t need a weapon, or a ski mask, or two getaway vehicles. You could simply walk into McDonalds with a syringe and ask for money and a Big Mac, leave the store showing your face to the cameras and wait to catch a bus right outside the store and still not get caught. That’s what most robbers do. But I wanted to give advice explaining how to rob and stay out of jail.

Btw. I’m very tired, hence the poor spelling/grammar and repetitive use of the same words. And I apologise for the length, but I can’t possibly go into detail and still keep this short.

LOL, Dude that was fucking great, I always think about shit like that. But with me I would have a decent sniper with a silence sniper rifle like across the street in the bushes taking out the cameras. OR... I would have people simultaneousely robbing stores like 3 in a place at one time to increase your amount of money and someone could be a head person in the group sitting in the car with binoculars looking at the stores and telling them whens the best time to go.

yeah it would be easy to do like 5 stores in one night.

And about the cameras, if you're wearing a ski mask then you wouldn't need to bother shooting them.

Nice guide and does sort out some basics of it.

Here are some things you could add to expand on the good ideas you had:

1. You can change your height by wearing special shoes that have thick pads, it will make a difference if you are 6'2" but looked 6'5"!

2. Wearing contact lenses that have color is a good idea. I would not sugest something like bright red or green or blue, but natural tones! Check this site out: http://www.cibavision.com/products/c...t_colors.shtml

I realy liked the hazel, baby blue, and honey.

3. Get some cheap pice of shit gun that looks good like a tec-9 http://www.impactsites2000.com/site3/class3_10.htm

Do not legal buy it, because you might have to shoot it. Buy it from a pawn shop where the owner does not care, buy it from a contact of yours, etc..

4. Do all your "work" at night time while the stores are about to close! Don't hit places that you know you will get shot in, especialy if u have a tec-9 lol. So a liquor store might not be as good as hitting a burger joint during closing hours, and if you think some kid or bum working the late shift is gonna care enough to realy try to stop you, you have got to be nuts :-P.

5. Work fast, one of the worst things you can do is put your self in a position where you have to either shoot the cops, run from them when they are at the door, or give up (if you are in that position don't be retarded it's not a game or a movie the cops have more resources then you, you will lose...) So remember in and out, as fast as you can, don't bother making the moron behind the counter get the cash out, jump over and take it your self (you might wanna know how to work the register if you cant figgure it out cuz ur dumb :P), ask him if there is a drop box or safe (if its late and its some kid he will either tell or he just does not know.) If you think you can loot the drop box or safe within 5 minutes do it, if not get out and leave. Try to keep it all down to under 5 minutes I can't stress this enough lol!

4. Get the guy to lock the door, dont let any more customers/witnesses get inside the building! The more people see you the worse off you are, the kid or other employee wont want to go through a whole huge deal of trying to find you and help looking at mug shots, while Mr. GoodCitizen will wan't to help the cops cuz its prolly the most attention he will get in 10 years, or the bitch that will start pissing and moaning over the horrible psychological damage you caused her over 5 mintues while she was scared under a table.

5. Dump the stolen car on a small road, in a ditch if its possible, walk to a set point where you left your car (don't leave it hidden, if some one finds your real car before the event it might give you away.)Leave your real car in a parking lot or some public place where it won't be noticed!

6. When you are getting into your stolen car, change your clothes and take all the shoes and contacts and everything else you wore off and put it in the trunk if you have the time.

7. While you drive, don't go to fast, don't give cops a reason to pull you over and DO NOT GET INTO AN ACCIDENT!

8. Burn ALL of your cloths and items used in the robbery that will burn! Don't keep them for next time, use other stuff next time. If you shot your gun get rid of it, river, pond, lake, swamp are all nice places to get rid of weapons. The contacts could be bought in a large pack and you only use one color for your "work", if you do get questioned by the cops u could show them you have a whole set, makes this pice of evidence even less useful

There are prolly more tips but im tired... l8r.

That's an ok idea, but i think it would be hard to run around in shoes with 3" pads.

That's why i said to get the staff to get the money out for you, they know how to use the register and you probably don't. Also, if you get it yourself, then the staff are going to activate the alarm while you aren't looking (which you won't be because you'll be figuring out how to open the damn register!)

And if you do this properly you won't be longer than 2-3 minutes.

I see what you mean but I still think doing it your self or helping the guy is better because:

1. Most small stores and restraunts have alarm systems very much like you may have in your home or apartment, basicaly they go off when the store is broken into at night. The guy can also run up and hit a button or a set of buttons (like the one i have does 1+7 for police to come and like 1+3 for health, 3+9 = fire). MOST of these systems are not setup to be operated behind the counter with a small button like some banks have. The guy would have to get up, walk over the keypad and press the buttons. If the store is closing and he is the only one there I think i will notice him do it! Also these alarms are generaly not silent so you will hear and know he did it, the guy will also know this. If you were him and i was holding you up, wouldnt you think I would shoot you if I heard an alarm or saw him walk up to a keypad and push buttons?

2. You can learn how to use a cash register by asking a relative or friend or someone who has had this kind of job before. If you cant find any one, its not that damn hard all the keys have labels. And you can allways have the dude open it, then u jump over push him the fuck out of the way and take the money, knock him out if you want..

3. You can say you have a police scanner or show one to him saying if you hear a call go out to the store you will shoot him :-/. That could work too, although i hear most Police departments wont send this kind of call over the radio like normal :-/.

Yeah i see your point. It would work either way though.

Also, lift up the tray where most of the money is, because they usually put larger notes underneath there.

These people usually get away with about 200 to 300 dollars at best, plus they get the tape on the news to look for you, and thats IF you were completely sucessful. Secondly, with all that stuff you're buying and throwing away everytime, you're gonna make like $5 split 4 ways, saweeet...Plus you know the first guy that gets caught is gonna deal for a lighter sentence and hang the rest out to dry, right? There's gotta be a better way, oh yea, get a job, I knew that...

Firstly, You don't know what you're talking about. Do you really think that gas stations etc. would only have $200-300? That's how much they start with at the beginning of the day, at the end of the day they have at leastten times that. Think of all the money that people give to them throughout the day.

Secondly, the only time that i have seen the surveilance video from a robbery on tv is when they half killed someone and their faces were shown clearly, and there was an appeal to the public for information.

And like I said, you can rob a store by yourself, that way you get all the money and don't have to worry about anyone blabbing.

Firstly, I don't think either of us knows what we're talking about. I'll concede you might be right about the camera thing though. Unless you string together a few of these "unsolved robberies" they might not appeal for information. Nothing like that is definate though, armed robbery is pretty serious and not overly common, even in big cities. It probably differs from area to area, I can't see LA or NY putting up those bulletins for every robbery.

They seriously do only get away with a few hundred dollars. Gas stations run on a very small profit margin, and most of the payments are via credit pay at the pump systems. People aren't exactly buying dvd players or shelling out $100 every shot they go in there. Maybe 100 customers a day, $2-3 a pop = $200 - $300. And no, they don't start with that much in change, lol. "Hey got change for a $100?" No bills over $20, ever seen that? Listen to the news about these robberies, they'll say "The robbers got away with such and such in cash and blah blah blah." Its not like $1000 or anything trust me.

You could do it alone, but then you got a whole new set of problems. I'll bet there's more than a few concealed hangun owners out there just waiting to be heros. Pull out that gun and it's now you vs. the world. Hope you've been working out.

-Cheers

Firstly, i live in a fairly small city and armed robbery is actually quite common, and even though it is a serious crime as you said, people still get away with it because there are very few ways to be caught. Police rely on information from the public, like when they recognise your description or something.

And trust me, you would get more than $300, sometimes i can see over into the register and they clearly have alot more than that.

As for the guns, I live in Australia and guns are illegal so it's not likely that i'd have a gun pulled on me.

And yes, I actually do know what i'm talking about.

Depends.

My friend held up a service station with a knife and got about $180.

Alot these days do safe drops through the day. The one near me, when the till gets over $500 they will safe drop everything except $100.

A service station really isn't the best target. Certainly not worth an armed robbery charge.

Yeah maybe, i guess it depends whether or not it's a high risk area, but you could rob those small local supermarkets, they have alot more at the end of the day.
