I’m sitting here watching the news about the Black Out. If you already haven’t heard complete power is out from parts of Canada to New York. It’s pretty scary when you think about what’s going to happen when it’s nighttime. 40,000 police and firefighters are said to be deployed tonight. But I think there still going to be some massive looting tonight. My cousin in Toronto which took like an hour to reach, due to the heavy load of calls at once, plans to hit the streets with 30 of his friends to shitdisturb the whole night. Even some banks are down requiring security teams. Just think of the gateways available tonight and post back on your thoughts and ideas of what you would do. I’m really new here but saw no post like this so I thought id post about it.

But, on another note, this is really pissing me off. I have a dedicated server (Syneticus) hosted in a datacenter where the blackout is occuring at. I can't tell you how many "I'm sorry but theres nothing I can do" sentences I've said today to customers.

watching NBC about 6:30. live feed from what i think was 59th street. guy in riding in pick up truck starts yelling at camera while it was pointed at the moving crowd. guy in white truck flicks off camera, it goes out on live TV.

My power came back almost 2 hours ago. That contributes absolutely nothing.

It's only worth going out if you're in the suburbs or a rural area. Otherwise there will be way to much security.

i was in a mall, the power died. stores closed/ushered people out...and the dvd store i was in at the time had a generator so their sensormatics were still good as gold. ahh, better luck next time.

I had minor spikes throughout the night. Just a few minutes ago I had a major one, lost power. No looting for me...

Middle of upstate NY, near Syracuse: some of us had power, most didn't. I was out of power from 4:30 until 9. Had a scanner running off a huge backup battery in my garage. The cops were going insane.
