This is my first ever post…..
Hope ya like it…..
This scam takes a lot of prep and patience. It’s not quite a quick fixer.
What you’ll need:
$4,000 approx
Good fake ID
30-50 rental agreements (you can get them on the web or create your own)
Gloves – to be worn at all times!!!
Some sort of believable disguise.
One cell phone – preferably in another name (fake ID) – or if in the UK a pay as u go sim card – buy it from a market as there are no cameras.
The Scam
Firstly your fake id needs to be good. Secondly you need a safe address to get mail sent to. See bad ideas section for ideas on this.
1) Go to a bank and open a bog standard savings account, using your fake id, and fake name. They very rarely check you out if ur just opening a no credit account. Register the account for your safe address.
2) Find your target town, get a copy of the local paper and look at the property rental section, you’re looking for a desirable property towards the upper end of the market (i.e $2000 a month).
3) Make an appt to view, wear the disguise and gloves, and try to rent the property. This is the only tricky part.
4) If you secure the property you’ll usually pay a months rent in advance plus a month as deposit.
5) Now get to work – place an ad in the local press offering the property for rent at half the price that you paid for it. Use the cell phone number as appoint of contact.
6) Arrange as many viewings as you can, wear ur disguise thru-out the viewings. As the property is so cheap you’ll have loads of peeps wanting to rent it.
7) Draw up an agreement with everyone who wants the property and ask for a cheque for one months rent and 1 months deposit.
8) Do this with everyone – hopefully at least 30 people over a 2 week period.
9) Pay the cheques into ur account.
10) Tell the “tenants” a date they can move in – (at least a week after the final cheque is due to clear)
11) Once all the cheques have been cleared withdraw the cash from ur account. (Still in disguise)
12) Dissapear and don’t go back to that town for a long time.
13) All the tenants will turn up and realise they’ve been conned, they’ll call the police, but if you’ve been careful u should be home and dry.
14) DESTROY ALL EVIDENCE – ID, GLOVES DISGUISE – EVERYTHING.
If you do this properly and rip off say 30 people you should make over 50k in a couple of weeks. However as I said it takes a lot of prep.
Let me know ur thoughts,
More scams coming soon.

While this was good for a first post and your contribution is appreciated, your plan is full of faults. It will not work, I would advise this plan only to someone I hate.
1)You should have gone into much more detail here about obtaining a fake ID. For instance, going through the city's public records and going through the obituaries. Someone who is about your age, looks, body stats, and who died somewhat recently.(I'm not sure how recent it should be.) This way if they DO look you up, they come up with some valid information. This is just a rough idea, but its much better than throwing shit together.
2)By town I hope you mean a small out of the way town. This operation should be very small and slow. You are NOT looking for a property with that amount of rent your first time around. This is mainly because in those property's are in very large homes(meaning that it will attract wealthy people, and people don't become wealthy by being stupid) or in a high rise apartment(impossible).
3)By renting the apartment you put yourself in more danger because thats one mor eperson who you have to come in contact with. You don't just call someone up and rent the apartment within a few hours. You have to meet the landlord, have a conversation, look at the apartment, sign dozens of papers, then put a deposit down, too much hassle. I would reccomend breaking into a property that hasn't been looked at in a while and change the locks. Get yourself used to the place. Prepare some false information on it. Observe what other people look for in homes.
4) See above. This is too much trouble and hassle.
5)You basically could have gone into more detail here. Another thing, why would you sell half price at something that you paid double for. There is no guarentee that this scam will work, so you have to be sure to ge tthe most out of each situation. Remember, the less people you are involved with the better.
6)No no no. The more people you involve the more dangerous it gets. This operation has to be slow as far as people. You don't want alot of people in it because you need to be able to study your victims. You need to put as much as you have into deceiving them. Why would you wear a disguise? People will be obviously suspicious.
7) Actually you will just have to forge some deeds and alot of paperwork. Another thing, you only make one deposit during your entire stay.
8) Contrary to what I said earlier, you can complete a scam quicker than this if they are willing to pay in cash. Checks are dodgy, because you have to go through the bank. In fact, why a bank at all?All you need is the false ID. Just tell them to make the cheque out to you, but the deposit has to be in cash. Simple.
9-11) I just don't like this whole bank thing. You're involving the wrong kind of people. Banks ask too many questions. The cheques may not clear, do not even try to clear the check, burn it. Again with the disguise, what kind of disguise?
12-14) Self explanatory.
Obviously with any type of scam if you do it long enough you will be caught. The authorities will notice this chain of events and start to track you. Eventually they will run a sting operation and nab you. You can get everything you own repossesed and auctioned. You'll be in jail for a shameful crime, because nobody will trust you if you ever get out. In addition to your debt, nobody will want to hire you.

That being said, welcome to &TOTSE. Glad to have someone here who not only wants to contribute, but it open to suggestions and wants to learn.

ive heard of this scam before. the way you put it, its way too complicated. as said before, you should always avoid banks and paperwork unless you really know what youre doing. and lets face it.. you dont. i dont either.
i think the cash deposit idea is best. you could still make a few thousand, but wouldnt you feel really shitty for taking money from families who think they are getting a place to live? im all for scamming companies and businesses, but this is too low for me to consider doing.
