i just got a counterfeit
i work in drive thru at the taco bell, and someone gave me a counterfeit. i didn't notice, but when the manager counted the drwaer, he noticed. it was a 1 dollar bill that had the corner's from a 20 taped on it. i guess they got a few 20 and cut 1 or 2 corners off each one, so you could still tell it was a 20.

Re: i just got a counterfeit
Haha. Thats pretty stupid.
Even if the corners were neatly taped over, a dollar bill and a 20 look very similar.Using the face on the 20 dollar bill would make it more realistc, but then the dollar might not be accepted (there would still be more than 51% of the bill remaining, but some stores might be suspicious

Re: i just got a counterfeit
quote:a few 20 and cut 1 or 2 corners off each one they had all of the corners covered bcause they had multiple 20's but still where's the face and on the 20 the portrait goes to the edges so you ruin the bill if you try to cut it out

The only similarities I see are that they are green with a president's face in the center. The $20's font size, type, holographic ink, and other things don't look like the $1 because they $1 is set for old style. It's made for old style because it is tradition and the US Gov wants to keep some tradition.

Re: i just got a counterfeit
Now that I think about it, this sounds like a complete lie.
Who would cut up thier own 20 to tape over a 1 so they could use it as a 20? They ruin the 20 and lose 1 dollar. This is saying that it all works, however it hasn't and probably never will.

Re: i just got a counterfeit
this used to work in a bar i used to goto because the bartender was always drunk i would trade the fake 20 in for 2 10's, tho he used to get really fucking drunk highly dout it would work if he was sober.
and reckless you can still spend a 20 without a corner on it, so the idea is to get one or two corners off of a bunch of 20's .

Re: i just got a counterfeit
It's good that you said that, because now I don't have to waste my time explaining it to that moron. I'm going to anyway, though.
You tear two corners off of 4 20s (heh) (you could do it with just two, and cover the front side only, but that'd be a bit dangerous) and tape all of these corners over the corners of the one. So now you have 4 20s that you can still spend, and a one that a retarded person might mistake for a 20 (no offense, weed man ).
