Possible stealing idea???
Ok, I have never stole anything in my life, so this might be a common strategy, but the idea came up when i was at the mall today.
I was in a big store and as I was walking out, through the detector things, the alarm went off, however, I was going out at the exact time as this girl, she walked away, but the guards came over to me and checked me out. So here's what I thaught up.
One person goes and buys something, like i dunno, a cd or something cheap, another person, who preferably has a backpack, which happens to contain games, laptops etc, walks through at the exact same time as you do, you stop, he gets away, they check your reciept, and you are let free. Later meet up with him and split the goods.
This is all for reference, I am not sure it would even work, so if u get caught for this "bad idea" its your own ass!

Re: Possible stealing idea???
It'd work better if he puts everything in his coat, then you carry a backpack around with bulky things, and make yourself look really suspicious, like your trying to put stuff in your backpack. Then, but a stick of gum, and leave when he does. Also, when the alarm goes off, jump, and look really worried, and say uh oh, I guess some stuff got in my backpack by accident. Make it see like you're really embarresed, and they'll check you first.
And lastly, if they do decide to check your friend too, then, he must ditch as fast as he can.

Re: Possible stealing idea???
Actually, not many people have thought of this. It /is/ a good idea, though.
Personally, whenever I lift alone, I always try to walk out at the same time as someone else.

Re: Possible stealing idea???
this may seem kind of kewl but could you slide a backpack through the doors and the alarm while nobody was looking to your friend who never even came in the store then you can buy your pack of gum. maybe it would slide fast enough to not set the alarms off? or if it did it would've gone off w/nobody going through it so "it must've been defective"

First of all, there's nothing wrong with additional layers of safety precautions. In fact, it's a very good idea to take multiple precautions.
Second, it's a lot easier, and much more assured to work, when you just remove the device.
Third, there are many different types of security devices, so you have to know the methods to crack each one.

Re: Possible stealing idea???
Some friends and I have done this before. However, I simply had my friend take a sensor from another item and stick it to my back as if someone played a prank on me. I then proceeded to walk out at the same time as him. As soon as the alarm went off I acted nervous, turned back, and after wasting about 5 minutes checking me out they found the small tag stuck to my back. The security guards simply shrugged it off as a prank. My friend however, got away with a BB gun, and a MP3 player(muvo).

Re: Possible stealing idea???
Nice score, CDG. Did your friend just walk off while they checked you?

Re: Possible stealing idea???
That is nice, I do it with my nine year old little brother. I wear baggy jeans and shit, and he steals the stuff and we walk out away from each other and they always check me.

Re: Possible stealing idea???
But, what happens if they check the person with the goods first? Just remove the shit from the package or simply remove the safety device. Then proceed to leave. Have someone stick a safety device on your back and both walk out together. When the alarm goes off have you friend laugh hysterically. Like, get him to fall down laughing. When they come to pick you up have you friend point out the safety device right away so they don't search you. Chances are your friend will take the shit for everything and just get a talk from security warning him not to do stupid things anymore.

Re: Possible stealing idea???
it might also help to not act like you know the person you are walking out with. come into the store at different times, don't shop together, but walk out at the same time. if it's known that you are together it might seem strange to store security for your friend to ditch you and they may be more inclined to check you both for theft.
