A laptop? Hrm, well, that is a tough one. Almost all display laptops (as mentioned before) are locked down. Your going to have to go in and examine the things that lock them down and try to find a way to unlock them. Then make a magic bag (I don't know if it needs one) slip it in, get out of the building. Then run like motherfucking hell. Stealing a laptop can get you into a lot of shit if your caught.

Now now people, remember what I said? Distractions are key. In the case where you want something that pricey, you'll want a nice, effective distraction.

Start a fire.

People panic, alarms go off, and if the annoying security blare goes off by the laptops, people will just think it's the fire's fault.

Of course, you don't want anyone to get hurt, so a small fire with a few smoke bombs should do. Just make sure you have a getaway car waiting, because you can get into some serious trouble for this.

That sounds like a dumb idea. As I said earlier its fucking hard to get a laptop and if you try you will get busted.

ok i came with this i would ask them to get me the laptop from the back and act like i have the money then my freind just does his thibg with smoke bombs. and i run out the store while every one is all scared. they wont stop unless they are stupid.

The security cameras will catch you. Although that is a good idea. Your going to have to get in a spot where no cameras can see you. You're really desperate aren't you?

at my circuit city theres a pick up location on the side of the building, maybe you could sneak into there and steal one from the back. and i heard on the news that at big airports they have tons of cell phones and laptops in the lost and found just go there and say that you lost yours, and theres no way they can say your lying.

if your in LA or some business district go to a food court or something people leave them unatended you could just walk off with one. its almost as bad as at a ski resort where people leave there snow boards outside while they go into the lodge, my buddy walked off with 2 boards once they wer like 500 dollar boards i got one to this day i use.

steal a laptop from your school. Alarms aren't an issue, so you only have to worry about being seen. Often in a class, the teacher won't catch you since he/she is focused on other crap. Its usually another student who might notice so be weary. Maybe you could have a bunch of books along with the laptop and just casually put them all in your bag.

As far as trying to lift them from a store? Hell no. They dont even keep laptops out in the open. You usually get a slip of paper and go to Customer Service desk. Your only way to get it from a store is to break in.

This is what i did to get mine.

In my school they leave the laptops in a little storage box, during lunch i just act like i go to bath room, i go into room with box stick it in my binder, go put up my binder in locker, in my locker i got my big skateboarding backpack, put the laptop in a big hole inside my backpack i cut out.

my school even did a check through backpacks and lockers, lol, i said they can't search my backpack wit out a search warrent.

ps. they were cops who tryed to search my backpack

ok for the snowboarders... just get a fucking lock.. i saw someone jacking my board and took someones ski and smacked them in the back of the head as they came back for more and went and got my board back..... since then i use a lock.. it costed me about $3.00 to get the cable and i alreayd had a lock.. is that hard?

and for the laptop.. the skool is the best place, but dont they have tracking system where if u connect to the internet using a reposted stolen computer then can track u down?

This whole smoke bombs thing is interesting but a bit extravagant and somewhat unlikely to work. When they figure out its fake, a lot of people will be real pissed, and like in a riot, first thing they check is security tapes. Likely they'll find you and your accomplice if they have the will to get it publicized, or at the very least, they will look for you in all of their stores in the area. This probably will be publicized, since its pretty unusual, and could make people watch some local news. So the police will probably tag your pics along with the story, since the fire dept will respond and probably cops as well. Other than that, I truly doubt anyone has the balls to actually do this.

So, other options:



airports: nowadays you must have a boarding pass to enter to gate areas, which is generally where you'll find laptops left unattended when people go to the restrooms, which are also in this secured area. This area has security patrols and employees, and lots of witnesses, if not cameras. Airports are paranoid about terrorists, I wouldn't do anything illegal there if I was you.

schools: School computers suck, but this is probably your best option, and one which doesn't screw some innocent person. My school has cameras, so, walking out of a room with the laptop wouldn't work so well, unless done at night, disguised and such(robbery, but easier, schools are generally incompetent). OR you can find out where they keep extra laptops, or where they are during summer vacation. Check out the library or the book room, I coulda walked off with like 10.

If there is a tracking thing like one person posted (I don't know if there is or not), you can format the hard drives(learn what you are doing). This will erase all data off the computer, such that, so far as I know, i'd be clean for internet use.

If you're gonna steal it from school (mine doesn't even have any laptops), do this.

Go into the general area where they keep these (you might want an excuse for this, get a good one), and put some packing tape over the hole in each door frame where the catch slides in when it's closed. Do this to every door you'll need to get into the school and into that specific room. It might get noticed, of course, but that's a risk you take. Also, be careful when you're doing this, as tape picks up fingerprints reeeeeeally well.

Then, at night, go back and steal your notebooks, and remove all the tape as you leave.

Ok cuz i just ordered a laptop yesterday from best buy. First off look up by all of their expensive equipment they have camras that you cant dodge(NO BLIND SPOTS GET IT). and also all the laptops and shit are held down and i dont see you bein able to rip that shit off of it. also all the laptops that arent held down are keep in grated holders with hudge padlocks. theres no way in hell your gonna be able to steal one. circuit city has the same security i also looked there be4 i bought one from best buy.
