Webhosting/Shell Account Scam
I don't know if many of you users know what a shell account or webhosting is, but I'll explain it in a brief paragraph:
Webhosting is space to host websites and files, being accessable by FTP and usually a control panel (CPanel, Ensim, Plesk, etc.)
Shell accounts are accounts on a *nix machine that allow users to run "processes" (programs) on the companies computer.
First Notes
This will not work with every company, nor will the webhosting/shell account be up for very long (depending on the admin).
Supplies
Computer
IRC Program (Might not need)
Email Address (real one, with no real name that can be traced)
Hosting business to scam
Internet Address
Execution
Find your hosting company (search on google people) and connect to their IRC server (if any). If they dont have a server, then emailing them should do. Tell them that your interested in their services and would like to try out their lowest/highest package for a week or two, to test reliability, etc. If they don't accept, find another company. Once you have their 1/2 week test stuff, do whatever you want on it. I'm not going to tell you what you can do, theres too many possibilities (2 week porn site!! yay!!).
Prolonging the inevitable
They will eventually shut it down (unless you find a REALLY stupid admin), but if they give you a warning, tell them you'd like one more week to try their services. Do as much as you can to keep your service up. After its shut down, move to another host, etc.
Notes:
This scam will only work for extremely advanced users with experience in social engineering and use of unix/ftp/etc.
Some companies will not give you service.
Use your brain people, work some things out, I'm not going to hold your hand throughout all my scams.

Re: Webhosting/Shell Account Scam
This does work and I can vouch for that. I have gotten many free IRC psyboucers like this, however I have never gotten a full blown nice shell account. The most they will get you is a low level account that has very little of anything worthwhile. IE a bouncer for IRC, 1 background process, 10 megs storage.

Re: Webhosting/Shell Account Scam
Hey, its free though. There are some companies that are bigger idiots and will give you more than 1 process. Email me, I might have a few that still do. My email is geoff@syneticus.com
