Default Hotel/Resort scam

Last week I was on vacation and I stayed in a pretty nice resort. Anyway, I was walking down the hall of the resort when I see an envelope taped up on one of the doors to one of the rooms. On the envelope it had the persons name and room number. I supposed that it was the payment for the room! I look inside and there was $800 in cold cash! Either this person was an idiot, or people do this all the time. This may be a good way to get money by walking around in resorts and hotels to see if people have done this. Try and walk around at like 3 am when some people leave. They put the money on the door because no one works at the main desk that late at night. I dont know if anyone has done this before but it could bring in the $$$.

Most people at Fairmount hotels, Westin, Ritz Carlton..etc do not leave money outside their door. I'm not saying this didn't happened but its very unlikely people leave that much on there door. If it was for room service (I doubt that too, for $800 ), they would of put it on there hotel bill. If it was for them to check out, they would just have it charge on there credit card.

As a former hotel employee, I can safely say the guest that left the money is, in fact, an idiot. Most, if not all, hotels have someone working the front desk 24/7. I should know, I was the night guy.

The wierdos that would come in...

If its a true story, which I doubt very much, then you are one stupid motherfucker to have not taken that money.

now why wouldn't u just leave the money in the room labeled "PAYMENT" or somfing like that. That way only people that work for the hotel can get it.
