Well all i'm thinking of buying a gallon f shine this weekend and was just curious how much do ya'll pay for good quality, mountain made moonshine? Here it's $25/gal. Or $50 for the highschool kids, hehe(no offense).

I used to have a small still made from a crock pot when I was like 13 or 14 but I never really thought of selling it becuase I never saw a market because it was legal and alcohol was easy to buy in any store.

Im thinking its up around 200 proof though, because DAMN, one gulp for me = Buzzin.

I drink moonshine straight whenever I drink it, just to remind me of what I'm drinking. If I mix it with anything I might forget what I'm drinking when I get too drunk.

I've drank some pretty horrible moonshine, stuff that just makes you gag and throw up the second it hits your throat.

Good moonshine made by the hillbillys living in woodstock (A rural part of NB) goes for 10$ for a liter, or 25$ for 3., im not sure what that translates to in gallons

I'd rather just buy a $15 bottle of Everclear, since I know it won't make me go blind and is stronger than (or is as strong as) any moonshine.

Everclear is $20 a fith here. and I would rather have moonshine or even white lightning(my choice drink!). Everclear isn't 'smooth' in the right spot or something for me.

The stuff that makes you blind comes out before the alcohol so the first couple of ml you dump out. Any good brewer or distiller knows this and does it. God when I was 13 I knew this. Im 18 now.

Moon shine is rare here in Georgia and real hard to find and get. I know I live 2 hours from the mountains, but still its hard to track a good deal down.

I think moonshine is 200 proof, or higher, henseing why its illegal in the USA because 200 proof or above is not approved for human consumpsion.

Yes, anything more than 100% alcohol would be extremely dangerous.

Moonshine doesn't have a set percentage of alcohol. It all depends on the quality of the still and the distiller's preference.

Everclear 190 proof is $15-$16 for a 750ml bottle around here...I prefer something that doesn't taste horrible though, I'd rather spend a bit more and drink less often.

I know to throw out the methanol also, but I don't trust the backwoods hillbillies as much as I trust the corporations who monitor their alcohol for methanol content.

You know where highway SC 130 is? Its on this side of the mountains. If you REALLY wanted some shine I could get you some. There are pleanty of hillbillies on this side of the mountain.

In fact, anything that is more than 100% alcohol actually defies the laws of physics.

I used to drink a crazy old native friend of the family's moonshine, but then he got alcohol poisoning. I stopped getting that shit soon after, just because. His moonshine was fine, I might start drinking it gain because there was nothing wrong with the moonshine. I twas his 60 years of alcoholism that put him in the hospital with yellow eyes, not the moonshine.

This mexican kid named tim had a uncle who made that shit, he would bring a small bottle everyday to lunch and we would mix it with the orange powerade and get fucked up fast. Then go to woodshop and stick nails down the air compressor tube and shoot them out....good times

You can tell its good moonshine if after you take A shot and burp over a lighter, you breath fire.

I am gonna whip out my cheap little welder and make one. My little one from when I was a kid did not make enough product to be usefull now.

Anyone have a good design to use. I wanna be able to yeild a few gallons of product from each run.

200 proof my ass that would be 100% pure alchohol. most shines average between 170 and 190 proof. just stick with grain alchohol from the packy. shine may have all sorts of badass shit in it if it wasnt made right.
