xanax bars aren't time released-correct?

I don't think so.....there is no special coating or anything on them.....

and you dont want to sniff them because snorting benzos is a pointless thing to do. just put them in your mouth and swallow.

why is sniffing benzos pointless?

because they can't be absorbed by your mucous membrane. i used to sniff xanax all the time then i realized it's a lot better to just take them because it lasts a lot longer.

EDIT - sniffing xanax does work, but only the drain will get you high. it's not worth the taste. just swallow them.

yeah, i was gonna say, it can definitely work somewhat in your nose, cause i did it for like a month every day...hmm, you say they last longer...but the nose is quicker, is it not? (effects start sooner)

not really true unless its a time release pill. or it can actually be absorbed by the mucus membrane. yeah and you were just feeling the effects of the drip, when you snorted them. it would be the same feeling as if you were to just swallow em. and actually you probably lost some of it do to the fact not all of it reached your stomach.

so in conclusion, for better benzo effects, just swallow the pill. if not then IV/IM it if you have the liquid form available.

Not only is snorting xanax utterly useless... the drippies are possibly the worst tasting thing in the world.

ahhhh why god!? why!? you DO NOT need to parachute them, that is only needed if it is time release, or if it has and extra outer coating, and benzos DONT. period.

While xanax is not lipid soluble and unable to be absorbed by the nasal mucosa, not all benzos are unsnortable. The prime example is midazolam. This benzo has been developed into a nasal spray to quell pediatric siezures. It is lipid soluble, and readily passes through the nasal mucosa.

well i once had a friend who was a stupid ass drug addict who had about 20 or so Bars "i think" and he took so much he couldnt walk he had to crawl outside to talk to me on the phone then the last thing i heard form him was im about to snort this one and he couldnt stop complaining about how nasty it tasted and it didnt kick in then he took one more and passed out and had to go to the hospital so what this story basicly means its very pointless to snort a zan bar
