...My friend is being a little bitch, saying that when I do the shit, I'm gonna need to be 'babysitted' what the fuck, man!?

He keeps saying that I'm definitely gonna have a bad trip and see demons and shit. He seems to think I'm gonna run off into the night screaming at mysterious peoples.

Yeah, I know that most people have a friend with them for their first trip, but my friend is being completely paranoid about the whole thing.

What I'm gonna be doin is renting a nice hotel and sharing it with a few friends, a few sugar cubes(wink wink),and a bottle of tequila.

So basically the question is:

A: Is my friend over-reacting a little bit?

and, B: Does booze and blotter mix??

your friends is tending to say some stressful shit, but hes right about the sitter, youll probably need one, and its always good to have one. no, booze and blotter dont mix, ecspecially with a sitter that doesnt want to be the sitter anymore and gets drunk, then your screwed.

Yeah i wouldnt wanna be a tripsitter if i was drunk. Wait, i wouldnt wanna be a tripsitter anyway i would wanna be tripping. Fuck i wish i could get my hands on some LSDeezy.

Ditch the booze, and make sure you're with someone sober whos tripped before to sit you.

That's in case you do start to freak out, he/she can calm you down.

A trip-sitter isn't a bad idea. I didn't have one, we were all tripping, but it can't hurt.

Edit: Find someone cooler to chill with you. Someone who appreciates tripping for what it is and understands it better than that dipshit. Also, tell them not to ask you shit like, "so, you trippin man??" I fucking hate that. Makes me feel weird.

You can drink and trip on acid. I don't know if the two compliment each other (from everyone else's responses, they don't), but at least it's not dangerous or anything like with other drugs.

Whatever you do, don't bring your idiot friend along who's talking about bad-tripping and seeing demons. If he has such little confidence in himself that he seriously believes that he would bad-trip if he ever did acid, then fine. That's his problem, and hell, he's probably right. If you're more positive about it and don't have some asshole around talking about bad-tripping, then you're way less likely to bad-trip, obviously.

Don't worry about having a shitty time, because that'll just make it more likely to happen. It could be a good idea to have a sitter, but it's gotta be someone who's done the drug before and is sober (if he's some drunk moron then he'll be no good at deffusing a situation with the cops or angry people or other harsh shit). If you can't find an experienced acid user to sit, then do it by yourself. Just whatever you do, don't bring some sober nerd who's afraid of the drug; he'll just bring terrible vibes.
