I have heard of using rubbing alcohol and I dont realy want to boil it because it might break. What would be the best way to clean it? Will the rubbing alcohol work?

My friend cleans his with rubbing alcohol and q-tips/pipe cleaners... looks like new when hes finished.

NO WAY! man, i hope you havent done it yet...

use acetone. take the acetone you get from it, screen it, dry the liquid and BAM you've got hash oil you can smoke! it's pretty simple but i guess it can get a little tricky, that's the basic recipe (use nailpolish remover if you have it) and just shake the bubbler around a little in the acetone, pour that acetone through a coffee filter, repeat those steps, then throw all the acetone (hopefully with no solid matter) into a metal lid or something, put it on the stove on low heat and when it's about as thick as blood or cooking oil, it's ready to vaporize. (if you smoke it, you'll just destroy the THC in it) so VAPORIZE! all that should probably take between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on how much res you have in there!

Hmmm... bubbler... I know that when it comes time to clean out my friend's pipe, we just smoke the resin out of it. But I don't know if that would be possible with a bubbler. You could give the rubbing alcohol thing a try, but if you're going to smoke the resulting resin, evaporate a little of the alcohol first to make sure there's no residue.

Edit: Actually, now that I think of it, acetone is a much better solvent to use, if you can find it. I wouldn't use nail polish remover, as it contains many other undesirable substances as well as acetone.

agreed that nail-polish remover will leave the residue a little bitter, but it'll work in a pinch...and if it was me, and i was out of bud and had to face a whole night of reality ::shudders:: then i'd want any solution i had to this obviously catastrophic problem.

All I have is rubbing alcohol.. that should be fine right?? I also heard putting salt in the mix will help it. Then I just let it sit I guess.
