I was looking at Opium Poppy seeds and have found some good deals, the strain that I'm probably gonna get is Turkish Red Opium Poppy...my question is, can I get real Opium from these.

if its an opium poppy, dont you think you could get opium from it? if it doesnt say its an opium poppy, then no opium.

but there's like 10 different color strains, i didn't know if there was only a certain color or strain that has opiates in it

I doubt it, the plants won't have flowered by then. Turkish Red are okay, but Persian Whites offer the best yield of Opium.

only if it is going to be warm for a few more months in your area, or growing indoors. get a shit load and plant as many as possible.

i live around the swamps of louisiana and it stays hot as a motherfucker year round...i think i'll be able to harvest before it gets too cold...it doesn't really get cold until november...i'm not too worried about potency, i don't want to become an addict too quick...i might also grow them indoors, can anyone tell me how long they would take to mature? and what kind of light cycle should i use?...i'm pretty experienced with indoor growing and i have the materials, as soon as my buds finish...anyone with any advice?
