Spun is a dark comedy about a group of meth addicts. It was pretty funny but i wonder how accurately it portrays the entire meth experience. Since i never did meth before i wouldnt know. Has anyone who has used meth seen this movie?

Come to southern Indiana. You'll see what it's like. This town is fucking tweak central, the county I live in is one of the worst in the country in terms of meth. And by meth I don't mean crystal meth, I mean some crazy shit people throw together in their bathtubs. A couple years ago a few kids had been on a tweak binge for about 3 weeks, no sleep for 3 weeks, and flipped out and went on a killng spree. Stole some cars and just drove around shooting people before being chased to a field in Illinois where one guy shot himself and the other was arrested and later given the death penalty. People do some fucked up shit because of tweak.

Jonas Aukerlund's short film 'Try' was much better in my opinion. (If you didn't know, Aukerlund directed Spun)

Thats funny you should mention that because i rented that movie the other night. Overall i thought it was pretty good. I thought it was pretty funny but i'm a big fan of the dark twisted comedies. I especially liked how every time they took some meth it showed their eyes dialate neat little camera trick.

yeah thats what i wanted to ask. Does meth hit u instantly and intenensly as it does in the movie? Because in the movie it happens as soon as they snort it. Then they do a camera trick of their head going back and forth really fast and then their pupils get bigger.

Ii love dark drug comedies. Fear and loathing in las vegas is good too. I'll cheack out "Try" if its similar to Spun.

SPUN is the best movie ever... I saw it high with my friend and it is really trippy.

The guy ties his friend stripper in his room for 4 days, naked. That's fucked up... and at some point it gets really scary, near the end where Britanny Murphey is talking and her voice is the guys voice... shit and the music it was so good... that dyke neighbor lol...

Ok, I have heard of people snorting some high grade meth and then being awake for 2-3 days straigh. My question is, do you still feel the effects of the meth through the second/third day? Or does the "high" only last for a couple of hours and then the "comedown" is the insomnia part?

Second question: Is half ass crank just about as good as adderal or way better than adderal, but just shitty meth in general?

First I want to tell you to watch for a movie named "IOWA". They just filmed it in this town over the summer. The small rural county I live is the highest ranked in the country for clandestine meth labs. Has been for the last 2 years for sure. I have been a user for eleven long years and have done meth every possible way. If you smoke it or snort it, it will take a few minutes to take affect. If you bang it, what you seen it that movie was probably close to reality. I've seen people do so much they can't do nothing but drool all over for about 10 mins. Instantly from zero to a hundred. As far adderal goes, I've tried it before and it's not even close. One word of advice, if you haven't tried it. I would strongly suggest that you don't.

Some of Spun is acurate, but the people are only doing little bumps every so often so they wouldnt be all sketched out like that. Pluse the hallucinations that one guy has ive never had or heard of happening, after being awak a day or more you might hear shit, or feel like something is crawling on you, or see little flashes of somethig, I once thought my face was rippiling like water though.Did the cook kill himself at the end, or was that an accident?

im pretty sure it was an accident. He made the same mistake before and his girlgriend niki forshadowed his death.

Define BETTER.

If you mean safer, then Adderall would be the answer. Unlike crank, adderall is safetly made in a lab with proper chemicals and equiptment. Crank is generally shit meth made by some dick with as much knowledge of the subject [chemistry] as he chose to look up on the internet.

If you mean harder [more intense/longer lasting high] then the answer is crank. Even if its shitty quality, made by some moron, methamphetamine will still be stronger then [dextro-]amphetamine [adderall].

i think he killed himself, i cant remeber exactly why because i havent watched the movie in a while, but i doubt he would have made a mistake after being in there for like a minute. i think it was intentional

As far as seenin shit... I've seen a LOT of shit. For example, after 4 days of no sleep, I saw a face in my tree, people standin in my yard, voices. But that was NOTHIN compared to my friends trip.. he was up for 5 days strait, no sleep, no food, just smokin strait up crystal meth almost non-stop... anyways, he saw people he knew bringing their pot plants into his backfield, while working on a grow site back there. He even saw people along the fence keeping an eye out, saw cars goin up and down the road, all turning off at the same time, picking different people up, starting up at the same time, and driving away all at the same time. Hell he even saw people hiddin in the middle of his field under a pile of grass like some Navy Seal shit.

About the cook killin himself, that was an accident like earlier in the movie where he blew the motel room up... he just didn't have the chance to escape. A high percentage of meth labs are discovered when they blow up... so its pretty common to die in ur lab.

^exactly. Besides, commiting suicide would go against the Cooks' entire personality.
