Alright i took 25mgs of hydrocodone 1.5 hours ago.... the buzz is pretty mild. Would amytriptyline (25mgs) enhance the effects of the hydro at all? Just curious because amytriptyline potentiates alcohol and vice versa.

can anyone help me?

I had a friend just take amytriptyline once.......and i thing they're orange pills right? anyways he basically passed out on us.....and we had to periodically check up on him just to make sure he was breathing.....i believe they prescribe it for cancer patients to kill pain....if i were you i'd wait to take it another day....

You are thinking of something else... Get your shit straight b4 you give advice. No, amitryptiline is not for dying cancer patients. Its a tricyclic anti-depressant thats also used for a sleep aid.

No, /you/ get /your/ shit straight. I'm on amitryptiline RIGHT now, for medical reasons. First of all, it's almost never used as an antidepressant anymore. It sucks for that purpose. Trust me, I'm depressed, and although that isn't what they put me on it for, it isn't helping at all.

What they do use it for nowadays is aiding sleep, and as a painkiller. I'm on it for sleep and as a cranial anesthetic--I have too much CSF in my noggin'.

Also, I'm pretty sure it /doesn't/ potentiate alcohol. I've been told that mixing the two is a bad idea.

Also, don't use it regularly unless you want to be drowsy constantly and sleep about 13 hours a day.

25mg of amatryp. is nothing......All it will do is make you a little tired, but you can combine it with the hc without a problem...

I took 150mg a day for a year as an anti-dep....and did all kinds of other drugs while I was on it....Never had any problems....
