Just want to share this wonderful little gem with all of you.
The My Weigh Lucky 11 is a analog scale that can handle 0.01g, and that only cost $19 or less. Great value!!

it says it's .01 g acurate... i never had a scale and was wondering if it would be ok to use to measure out 10-20 mgs of gold for example? or measure out like 5 mgs ?
btw which scale would you reccomend for under $25 that is best for measuring small stuff acuratelly...

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
I have one, it's a plastic piece of shit. There may be markings down to .01g but it's so poorly made and the parts are so loose that an accurate measurement is impossible, not to mention the fact that the only way you know it's balanced is by stooping down and eyeballing it. It looks good on the web but you get what you pay for :-(

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
what're you measuring?
you'll need at least 0.01g for research chems, but pretty much everything else is fine at 0.1g

I know a great scale that reads 50g x 0.01mg for $100. Only if you live in Canada though.

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
I got a 25 dollar (CAN) spring-scale at the Toronto Hemp Company about 6 months ago, and it's great if you're weighing out dime bags. But I wouldn't use it for really precise shit, and it'd probably waste you a little money if you used it for coke, seeing as the tendancy is to weight everything a little on the heavy side to be safe. But for weed up to 1 oz. it's great. No use spending the cash for a digital if you don't really need it.

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
This scale is not a little peace of plastic junk, thats why I posted it. It's a high quality METAL scale that outprice ANY digital scale at this price range ($13-$19).
Anyway, isn't it better to have a 0.01g scale then a 0.1 scale?

Fragoholic,
My Weigh makes more then one scale model
You are propably talking about the Accugem model (0.05g and made of plastic). http://www.myweigh.com/pocketscales_accugem.html
I am talking about the Lucky 11

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
In my experiences, those little manual hand scales suck ass. I have purchased one a few weeks ago which was not of name brand, however, I have serious doubts about even the myweight ones.
If you are trying to weigh out dimes and dubs of marijuana, dont bother! Just pack them into the almost pre measured bags designed for this purpose. When I sell weed under the 8th ounce, this is what I do and my customers are usually happy with the results.
Now for something like coke/meth you are going to need a nice digital scale. Something costing around 40-80 dollars will do fine. They weigh up to 0.1 grams accurately.
For something like research chems, I would go with what CrazyAmishMan said. I have never done research chems myself nor do I know much about them. However from what I heard, you need to take pretty small and precise doses.

Re: Scales: Here is a $19 analog 0.001g scale!
I have that Palmscale and it works very good and it's always accurate. It's my third one so far but it's lasted the longest and the batteries last a long time (2-3 months compared to a couple weeks with others). I wouldn't say someone would need to go out and get one unless they're not worried about taking a loss if it breaks (you probably won't get your money back, at a head shop anyway). But if .1 gram is going to be the difference between a $20 and a $30 bag of umm.... gold, get a digi whenever possible. Oh yeah, and treat it like it's made of glass, don't lend it out either.
