Where I live, I have found that over the last several years people have just stoped caring about marijunana. Cops have started giving out "warnings" to each person they catch puffing the hippy letuce. Even the school system has mellowed, now dealing out 3 day suspensions for possesion rather than expulsion. Its a prety peachey comunity that I live in.

Anyway, do cops/teachers/people in general give a shit about dope anymore where you live?

lol, you're lucky, parents shit bricks around here if they know, and cops... usually they'll take it away and u have to spend a few hours in a holding tank, if your a minor like me , and schools expell you, no questions asked, like i said... ur lucky

EDIT: Sherwood Park is VERY bad for methamphetamines. The police and services are targeting those drugs instead. Crystal Meth this, Crystal Meth that. I was sent to detox and rehab because I had a 12 dollar chemistry set from wal mart in my closet.

Not around here, cops usually check your bag for alcohol. They're still bastards on that, but oh well. But for pot, they don't even care really. I mean unless you're wlaking around with pot split up in dime baggies and they know you're selling than maybe they might give you a warning slip.

ummm on long island (ny) it is almost socialy looked up upon (you toke you are cool), the incrowd at school all do it (im part of the in crowd =) )

the cops dont give a shit about some 16 year old kid that buys an overpriced eigth of primo bud (me)

all they care about are the dealers

They are pretty lenient around here, one of my dealers got caught selling and the cops gave him a warning.

No,no one around here gives a fuck if you smoke weed, or alcohol(underage), they only really care about crack meth and heroin.

The tolerance of pot has gotten extremely shitty the last year around here. Usually they are complete asses about it. There are a few times where you will get let off. Once me and about 13-15 friends were drinking and smoking at the beach around a fire. The cops came and he said "I'm gonna turn around. Every thing you have is gonna be thrown in a pile before I turn back." He turned around, we all threw our shit on the ground (Probably around an ounce of some nice dank). Then he turns around, picks it all up, and throws it in the fire. After that he said "Now we can all get high!".

And thanks to those surveys about drugs at school we are now fucked. My county was rated the 2nd worse for drug use in the state. Even though the survey was only of 1000 students randomly selected from second through twelfth grade. There are 2600 students alone in my school. Over 12000 in the county. You can already imagine how accurate the results must have been.

Anyways, the old retired fucks who live here read it in the paper and bitched. Now there are random searches at my school. They will walk in the class and have you line up in the hall. The dog walks by the line. Then it checks the class. They also have an officer in the restrooms because people phone friends in other classes and let them know. Anyone flushing is expelled without question. Anyone caught by the dog is expelled, gets a criminal record, and a fine in the range of 1500-4000$. They also throw in a year or two of probation to make you happier.

At least once a month they will bring in about 5 dogs to search the cars in the parking lot then the lockers. If the dogs smell something they are allowed to search your entire car. Even if they don't find drugs but get a pack of cigs you are facing 3 days suspension and about 10 detentions.

They aren't as bad on you for pills as pot though. My friend was caught with zanax and oxy's. He was only expelled. No criminal charges were filed. It's like they wan't all us stoners to start with the harder shit.

All this bullshit from a fuckin plant. Shows how much they care about human rights. Now they prance around chanting how our schools are better and safer than before. Well, I still see a fight every other day. And the schools average grade has fallen from a B to a C since they started this. They must be doing a grand job to get that much work done!

Here you just get expelled, no questions asked. Before it was a 5 day suspension, but then, 6 or 7 kids got blazed, walked into school one morning, then it's drug searches over the entire school, 3 more kids were expelled, and there was a 2 hour assembely featuring the police about why pot is evil. Oddly enough, they won't even suspend you for having a pack of cigs (not the first time at least). They just call your parents and make you see the guidance counseller. Ironically, you would get in more trouble for having the requisite lighter or matches than the cigs.

In california its practically decriminalized. You can hold up to an ounce and only get fined 100 dollars, but most cops around here will just warn you if you tell them the truth. Like I said in a post earlier, weed is so easy to get in Nor Cal it would only take me 15 minutes top to get what I needed whether it be a gram or a QP. Thats how abundant it is down here man

I live in St. Albert, I think its partialy economical. Everyone that lives here is rich and white(I hate to say it but its true). And drug crimes seem to just go un-noticed. We just have a bunch of rich kids in our high schools that can get away anything.

The cop that goes around to the local high schools in this city is one of my football coaches. I was talking to him and he told me that he(and other RCMP in St. Albert) wont really bust people for possesion any more. He said that they will usualy confinscate the reffer. Hell the cop is my football coach, he knows i smoke pot and he put me in a starting position.

Now im going to add anothor interesting tidbit to this thread.(this applys mostly to high school students)What % of our peers would estimate smoke weed? At my school I would estimate that over 55% have tried weed, 20-30% smoke up regualry.

Where the fuck do you live. Cops hate me, teachers hate me, and there aint no warnings. I would get a charge and get locked up if i had weed in school and expelled. Your a lucky fuck.

I live in north edmonton, in a fairly upper class neibourhod and I walk down the street every night 2 or 3 times, puffing big fatties and I have never seen anyone bat an eye, I have had a few people pitch though.

I understand wanting to get high and all but we just smoked a few joints in the morning before school and kept one leftover for the period before lunch . If someone was going to search you you could always eat it . I dunno . I was always more cautious than most stoners I guess.

My school is easy as hell to get away with. Everyone deals trees. People go to school fucked up like hell, blaze in the bathrooms, smoke cigarettes all over and leave the school and blaze blunts and shit. I dont mess with the stuff at school but people trip shrooms and I usually see alot of regural oxy and xanex users. Lots of adderall users too. Penalities are harsh, but busts and people getting caught is rare.
