Drugs that change you most?
What drug do you feel has had the biggest impact on you, or has caused you to change.
I'm gonna start off with a very stupid one - Nutmeg.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
LSD opened my eyes to alot of my surroundings that I wasnt really aware of before.
I think that it changes the way that you think....forever.
Doors to perception, didnt timothy leary say that?
Opens parts of your mind that let you think more logically.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
Today young men on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one conciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather.-

LSD has had the biggest impact on me of any drug. It totally changed the way I think about life and my whole perspective on life in general.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
LSD.
Most definitely, I didn't even have to think twice about that one. It's opened barriers, made me examine my life, and put things in perspect. I've made life long friends from tripping partners, and my boyfriend and I became closer as a direct result.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
Lots of peeps said LSD... No surprise there I guess . Does it make you feel spiritually different? I'd like to try shrooms more than acid simply because more people say that it causes euphoria but I don't wanna turn into some hippy... J/K
LysergicLunatic: how did that have a huge impact on you? i thnk that should be the second question in this topic. cuz im damn curious as how nutmeg has changed you!
I guess it was the first time or first *"drug" that I had a bad experience with. The first few hours when it kicked in were actually pretty fun and hillarious. I was walking around my house spinning around chanting "I'm a little fairy... I'm a little fairy..." But the next day was totally fucked up. I couldn't concentrate on anything, and I felt majorly depressed because I thought I had fucked myself up permenately. [I use the term 'drug' very loosely with nutmeg. It'll always be a spice to me...]
It didn't really 'change' me, but it definately made me much more cautious of other drugs.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
First I'll start off with the good. I would have to say mushrooms really showed me to appreciate life for what it is. I've learned many things, not worth boring you all with, from shrooms. On the downside I feel crack/cocaine changed me in the worst way. Although now being free of that I know I can beat anything.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
When I was thirteen, my world was divided into two groups of people--those who had done acid and those who hadn't. I couldn't wait until the day I would wake up and could say to myself, "I'm no longer an acid virgin." A year after that I got ahold of a ten-strip and really had fun.
But for me, the problem with acid, as well as mushrooms and maybe even DXM, is that along with all of the standard "I am god, I am alive, I am beautiful, I see all" feelings that surface, (which for the most part I do think are true) there is just so much bullshit. I really enjoy it when I'm tripping, and it seems great, funny, amazing, but when I look back on it I feel a little cynical about the whole thing. The revelations, no matter how monumental they seem or may actually be, end up appearing a little trite when you realize that everyone who's done significant amounts of potent hallucinogenics ends up with similar conclusions.
I'm not unwilling to preserve the sanctity of mushroom-land or the walking on water that I've done while on LSD, but although I've learned a lot through use of both of the above, they really didn't change my life like the big bright yellow slogan on the packaging said it would. Of course, I do recognize that what I get out of it depends on me, and I suspect that my character or personality just doesn't take to the one-try life-altering ideas.
Talk, talk, talk. Listen to me endlessly orate, really not even about drugs at all but about myself. I'm sorry. I'm such an asshole for posting this much about it, but everyone always seems to have so much to say for God Acid, and how it gave them a completely new outlook, and blew their mind, and so on.
Dont get me wrong, I love it. I've never really done it solely "to get fucked up"--though I may give that a shot when it starts rolling back into my area. So far I've got a mix of good-natured silly fun and introspection/personal growth that comes from it. But I don't know. It never pushed me over any line or edge.
The one that did that was heroin. BAM it smacked me in the face and that was it. It's a cliche, but it's like there's something inside me now that wasn't there before.

shrooms really opened the doors of perception to me. i like to just stand there and feel like the world is all in a balance, and nothing is truly more important then another. its not just a thought i have, its a feeling that consumes me

Re: Drugs that change you most?
Xanax changes my mood and my percepiton toward things alot. I dont get the euphoria i get from other benzos like valium so im kinda angry/confused. I really look like ozzy after 10mgs. I think even Mister Rodgers would wipe his ass with me in a fight.
Mini Trip Report
(Yesterday...5mgs of xannax+4 joints+7 beers+4 hydrocodone 10's= I woke up next to a creek a mile away from my house lying on the ground and not remembering what happened after i took all that. I may have drunk or smoked more i just probobly dont remember it)

Re: Drugs that change you most?
Acid and shrooms.
Have nothing but good to say about shrooms, but acid is bittersweet. I can't help to think that you never really come fully back down for acid. And I don't know if the world is more beautiful after, or less. I don't know if such a heightened sense dulls your normal senses when you're not tripping. I don't know if it makes me love more, or if it makes me more selfish. If I get stupid or smarter. I love the stuff. I hate it. (bites nails) It's a pretty manic drug as I'm sure you can see.
And I just want to say to nononono that I thought your reply was good, and that I appreciate the more educated answers that we get online.

Re: Drugs that change you most?
Shroomies and weed... Elaboration?
Weed introduced me to the magical world of drugs, and made me feel the need to try other drugs to obtain highs. I was fucking with DXM and acid pills for a few months, then my friend hooked me up with the shrooms. It gave me a totally wonderful and soleum perception of my life.

Even though I have tried very few drugs, I think that alcohol will always hold a special place in the hole where my heart should be, j/k. I have some really great memories of drinking. I think that alcohol doesn't alter how you think of things, it just...I dunno...FUCKS YOU UP! And goddamnit, I love it
