I did post this already in Anime, but desperate times call for desperate mesures...

For the last two hours I've been sifting through the Internet looking to change my Windows XP style to that of the Purple ALTIMIT from the .hack// series.

So at the moment I'm looking for a WindowBlinds skin (ALTIMIT of course, I'll more than likely change the colour scheme if it's good enough) and a LogonScreen (Using LogonStudio).

So will you please lend a hand to me, maybe you will take on the same idea as me.

Heh, in short I'm making my Windows reflect the style of ALTIMIT ( http://tinyurl.com/l8mb6 ) and I'm asking for some help. I'm going for the Purple version because it's the colour I use in the games.

I've been focusing on WindowBlinds because it's something that I have and find nice to use, but while I've been searching I've not come over anything for StyleXP either (plus that means that SWIM would have to crack it).

I haven't used much in the way of Window Blinds, so I can't help you much there. If you decide you want style xp I can give you a link.

Since a few of you are confused (can't really blame you), I'm going to give a bit of insight into it, and why it respondes to Windows Styles...

In the fictional .hack world, ALTIMIT OS is virtually the only surviving operating system after the Pluto's Kiss computer virus that destroyed much of the Internet in the early 2000s.

It is also the operating system that is used to play the popular, but fictional, MMORPG The World.

Now the series revolves around the game 'The World', and the effects it has on the real world.

But the OS, ALTIMIT, is what I'm aiming to have my Windows appear like.

That I'm not sure about. But if you go to http://themexp.org/ You can find something close and maybe tweak it around until you find something close. Hell, if this thing is popular enough someone may have created a configuration for it.

A warning though, themexp.org is a faggot. There's almost never a virus, but in their install package they force you to download a toolbar. To un-install it, just go to add/remove programs. Then go to program files and find a folder that says themexp, open it and check to make sure it's not stylexp, then delete it.

It sounds like a bother, but it really isn't that tricky.

On what sorry? You mean the style...If so then no, they're for any work I want doing, my Windows set up is for recrational purposes...

.hack is the shittest anime/game gimmick ever. The anime is long boring and drawn out and the games are shitty and baroque. The only redeeming thing is the music.

Do you have a good-sized screenshot of what you want it to look like exactly?

And by the way, even though it doesn't help with your problem, StyleXP just patches a system file and provides an interface to install/switch themes. You can get a patcher here (http://www.tcmagazine.info/comments.php?shownews=11881&catid=3) and install themes by putting them in X:\Windows\Resources\Themes. They'll show up in display properties after that.

I believe windowblinds > StyleXP, but I do only have limited experience with both... but I liked windowblinds much more.

And rabb, get the damn CD, get the right programs, and pull the files off and script em yourself man, then you'll have virtually the same damn thing as in the games....

p.s. .hack// games were never as good as the anime... the one anime I enjoyed.
