When you ask a girl out, do you try to get to know her first, or do you ask her out without really getting to know anything at all about her?

If she is hot, I just ask her out and then get to know her. My rule is I can tell on the first date whether or not things would work out or not.

It also depends on your objective. If you think there is a chemistry between you, then you can keep working it for a possible relationship.

If she is just really hot and that's it, hit it and move on.

Get to know her more. Always. As good as a girl may look, that's not really enough. And all you can really judge without knowing someone is their looks. Pretty girls are everywhere. Good people are harder to find.

haha pretty much every time ive asked a girl out has been without knowing shit about her.. but i donno.. sometimes you dont need to know so much.. some show everything you want to know if you get what i mean.. one of them was a chick that was working for the bloodbank.. damn did she seem like an interesting person to have around in a few ways too (she was cute with a cute personality and probably utterly unique in bed.. also cute in a pretty way not an abstract way).. she had a boyfriend tho or so she said.. but she seemed 100% sincere as far as i can tell.. she also seemed truly sorry for rejecting me in almost a you want a hug want to talk it out kind of way, i didn't stick around tho .. haha it felt like being patronized because i was a few years younger than her.. that shit was cute tho haha.. what can i say.. ill probably give it another shot when the bloodrive rolls around maybe shell still be there haha.. not that im attached at ALL but i definitely think shes worth another shot.. and this is without knowing a damned thing about her life only being around her for a while.. so i guess this indirectly contributes to the question..

theres too many variables...i approach girls differently depending on the scenario. If I'm at a bar, I like to chat the girls up and get a feel for them....but I choose who to chat up based on looks.

If I'm at a casual gathering/party/etc, I'll talk to just about anyone just to be sociable...and if I hit it off with someone who is attractive, then I will pursue and make an effort to get to know them better and make arrangements to meet up at a later date....on a date.

it all depends on the situation, the location, the people involved....no simple answer.

Here's how I do it:

Step 1.. go up and talk to girl, get her number for future use

Step 2.. Send a text asking do they want to hang out.. attempt to make a move during hanging out time.

Move successful = now going out.

It depends. I have found it weird to try to date a friend. Then again there have been the friends that it's great to date. So either or. I tend to have more fun finding out, but it usually ends up not lasting that long.

I always get to know them first. Bad experiences have taught me that people can be very different under the surface.

I think its usually better to ask them out first, and then get to know them. Then you start the relationship on a romantic level. I find that if you dont act within a relatively short time, then it becomes a lot more difficult to make them see you as a potential boyfriend.

well i asked a girl out before really knowing her and it bit me in the ass later. Get to know her first, i beg you. unless she has a shitty personality and is hot i guess just hit it and quit it, although i dont condone the objectification of women.

Considering I met my first real girlfriend now in September, and we just started dating, the first.

We've been best friends for about 4 months...

preferably, i get to know her first. unfortunately, every girl i've asked out that knew me fairly well said no. all the ones that didn't know me too well said yes. and ended up going for someone else or become WAY too fucking attatched to me.

well if i think i have the time to get to know her, then id definitelly do that as a first choice. if i dont have the time to get to know her though id just ask her out and see how things shape up between us. for instance, im a senior in high school and im graduating soon, so if i meet a girl i think i might like ill just ask her out as opposed to trying to get to know her first because im running short on time and i might not ever get the chance again.

Girls who get to know me, and then I try to move things on, usually quit talking to me. But a couple girls I didn't know basicly at all, they got too attatched.

Getting to know a girl first seems more logical to me, but I have bad luck with that.
