Where to go on dates?
Okay, I know this topic has been done a hundred times over. But I'm curious. I met this girl on craigslist, and we've been cuddle buddies for the past couple weeks. So tonight she told me that I should ask her out sometime, on a date. Up until now, we only see each other in her bedroom.
Now normally, my idea of good dates include horseback riding, or randomly renting a canoe for the day, or going to the beach at night, or ideally...staying home with a movie and cuddling.
But I want a date that feels official, in the traditional sense. And another thing, is that she's a little older then me. 26/22. So I want to take her out on an adult date. Any ideas?

Re: Where to go on dates?
The traditional 'offical' date is usually a nice dinner in a resturant.
But if you're not into that, make me a nice picnic dinner, take it down to a riverside or beach somewhere (prived it's warm where you are, I'm australian, it's about a million degress at the moment) set yourselves up on a blanket and eat there. Take along a little battery powered cd player or something and have dancing by said waterfront.
My date and I like to go roller-skating alot, but I don't know, that might be a little too teenage for you guys.
And man, I wish my boyfriend would take me horseback riding.

Re: Where to go on dates?
I'd say take her to something like a museum or some sort of event going on in your town...something you can just stroll through and talk, make comments about whatever it is you're doing/looking at....follow up with some dinner or drinks....then screw.

Re: Where to go on dates?
Yeah - do something different that you both enjoy.
Mabey bushwalking, a trip to the beach, a museum, clothes shopping, putt putt, hire a row boat for a couple of hours, go to the fruit markets early in the morning - then make lunch, catch a train to some tiny place, and just wander round for a while.
Just be different from everyone else.

Do something you both like doing
Going somewhere just for a dates sake isn't a real date.
Everyone likes good food, eat.

Re: Where to go on dates?
Personally I like really nice hotels. Ones with indoor pools a nice restuarant, lobby bar and pool bar.
Then a medium range hotel is good too. I like the chains with interior corridors, nice lobbies etc.
Then there are the cheap hotels. Front door entrance right off the sidewalk, no restuarant and some shitty pool you wouldn't get into anyway.

Movie then dinner.
So there's no excuse to not talk at the table.
I wouldn't consider a movie a date anyway...get distracted and don't really interact.
