Ok folks, I am in a bit of predictment here.

There is this chick that is really cute in my class, and I THINK (though it could just be me hoping) that she thinks I'm cute. My conversations with her have been limited, but I have noticed that she never seems to look at me.

I myself am not that ugly and have been with a good amount of good girls, so I am a bit cocky in thinking that I am not good looking. But anyway, everytime I see this girl, she always seems to never want to look at me.

For example

One day I was going to class and I see her walking the opposite direction, out the main building door. I smile to her and she continues to look straight and walk away. The class ended up being cancelled; yet she couldnt just tell me it was cancelled?? To me this is a sign of shyness.

Another time in this lecture hall class, I was taking notes, sitting on the right side while she was in the middle. I wanted to catch a glance at her, so I turn my head to the left. At the same time, she ends up turning her head to the right, taking a glance at me. She immeditly turns her head.

Another situation.

When she would sit infront of me in class, she would never turn around. But EVERYTIME someone BEHIND HER ( ie, someone sitting next to me) would ask a question, she would turn around to see whos asking it. When I would ask a question, she would NEVER turn around to me. She would turn around to any girl/guy asking the question.

One time I saw her walking and I said whats up and she kind of turned and smiled, all shy like.

I also get this vibe that she thinks im cute, and I am not usually wrong.

What do you girls/guys think??

From what you've described she could actually just be snobbing you off, or treating you like a wierd critter who keeps staring at her...

...On the other hand when she immediately looks away when you've caught her looking at you, you may just be in luck.

Im gonna say what I always suggest; Just go for it. Ask her out, it's not really a big deal. At worst you'll rebound straight off the gate and have to find some other chick to catch eyes with. Enjoy mate.

this is true, I would believe this but she has asked me a couple questions before. And I dont really stare at her a whole lot, so I dont know if I believe this. But I am also cocky and would not like this to be the answer...

She probably really likes you, and is afraid of looking at you straight in the eyes because she's worried her expression might betray what she thinks. You're in high school, right?

High schoolers are insecure about everything.

She doesn't want you thinking that you like her if you're just going to reject her. And because she's just as insecure as everybody else, she's going to assume the worst.

I was.

"Betray" is "portray" with a whole "I'd rather nobody found out" bit thrown in. It was more specific.

She sounds like the typical shy, insecure high school girl. OP, be nice to her.

It is quite clear she is desperately in love with you. Do not listen to people that point out the only thing she seems to have done at all in relation to you is ignore you, that is just a cunning ploy on her part to deceive you

You must go, on fleet of foot to her place of residence and take her maidenhood! Worry not that she might resist, she simply doesn't realise that she's in love with you. You have to show her.

I mean... she half smiled at you... in reciprocation of your smile… What else do you need to fuel your highly unfounded belief? Actual affection on her side!? HAHAHA I scoff at such garbage.

I just want to say (being shy myself) that there's this thing that happens to me. I flip-flop between being bold and being shy. It drives me crazy too. So, you might want to watch out for that as you get to know her. It can be confusing even for her.
