Heres the situation... Theres this girl that I believe has fallen for me, i like her and she is very sweet, we have been talking for a few weeks but ive never made it official, and i would really like to break it off with her but just still be friends. She lives an hour away so it would be a pretty inconvenient relationship anyway. But do any of you guys have some tips on letting her down easily so that she wont be hurt to bad and maybe we can still be friends?

Text messages me all the time, talks about me meeting other parts of her family (ive already met her mom, and shes brought up several times how her mom likes me so much), talks about how she cant wait to see me again, just things like that....

"I'm not interested in having a relationship, but I value you as a friend."

Yep, don't fanny about.

The more vague you are, the more she'll think she has a chance. This will hurt you both more in the long run.

Be to the point, it might feel harsh but you're saving both you and her a lot of hassle in the long run.

UPDATE: I just found out that she thinks we are "dating"...this is worse than i thought :-(

So if you haven't made anything official, ask (or pay) some other girl to appear with you in front of the girl you're trying to "break up" with, and make it seem as if something's going on between you two. The girl you're trying to "break up" with will think you already have someone, and since nothing was official, she'll back off, hopefully.
