A female friend of mine who I get on with quite well, find her very attractive has recently split up with her boyfriend.

I wouldn't mind making a move, but I want maybe one question,one thing to figure out whether we can be anything more than friends.

We joke about sex sometimes and she says "Not on your life son," sort of jokily, like I could never get in there.

However, she does compliment me frequently on being good looking, we're both quite playful with each other and tease each other a lot.. I'm wondering is it actual chemistry or just plain good friends.

Of course, classic I don't want to fuck things up because lets face it, plenty of other girls out there but I wouldn't mind seeinf if there could be something more. Anyone know a good way of finding out?

I'm not telling how to win this girl. I'm telling him how to find out if there's anything to work with in the first place. If not, they were shitfaced, they forget about it, and move on.

My advice is a chumpish way to act, but I don't give a shit and neither should he because it get's him the information he wants. If he needs to win this girl at all costs regardless of the current situation, it's a stupid way to start.

If that was the case he should turn his sex appeal way, way, way up, act like a dick to her, and then pretend to be smiten with some other girl. Ask her for advice. "Hey Suzy, help me out here. I'm crazy for this girl and want her to know how amazing I think she is. What can I do?"

That line is the deal closer after an entire relationship dynamic change though. If he's in the friend zone he's probably acting like a puppy dog around her. I had the exact same thing happen to me, then a few weeks ago she confessed that she's always had a huge crush on me, as I've had one on her, we were both just afraid that our feelings were not returned.
