Any one got some basic technique to keep me out of trouble (something easy that makes me look like I know what I'm doing without getting advanced).

Basically you move with the beat of the song I guess, side to side gyration and maybe some arm movement? I guess that's what I do, and girls always end up in my lap.

Thus you never gain much coordination. Better to work out some stuff ahead of time. Pros work at it hours a day. I don't think it would hurt to even dance at home with a sister. At least at home you don't have to worry about folks thinkin' yer some kinda gayass fag danther.

Ok I didn't used to know how to dance either, but I figured it out. Btw you dont have to worry about dancing by yourself that just looks lame, you want to dance with a girl. Dancing by yourself, no matter how good you are, still won't get you any.

#1 Alcohol: Be buzzed enough that you have increased confidence and don't really think about what you're doing. Put on those beer goggles man.

#2 Go out on the floor with a couple friends, find a group of girls, and just be cool. Avoid ones that are all talking on their phones, just look for ones that are obviously seeking guys. Walk up and be like: "hey, are these your friends? Well these are my friends, do you guys want to dance?" It hasn't failed me yet.

#3 Start behind the girl, hands on the waist, etc. etc. Swing hips side to side with the beat, pulling her hips with you. This makes you lead, and shows you are confident.

Eventually, if you are not hideous, she will turn around and do the same thing from the front. Soon(i guarantee this), she will start kissing on your neck, which is your cue to make out with her. Congrats, you have a girl for the night.
