So as many of you know, there's books and other tools out there given out by the seduction community as guidelines to picking up women. I say we--the men of totse--write our own guide, from before you step out of your door until after you've fucked her brains out. Obviously we'd have to ignore the 12 year olds, but I think it would be a good project to undertake, especially since it'd be a collaboration and not something made by just one man. Hell, we can even involve the ladies.

Anyone interested?

Only if it has some ethicals and morals, and encourages at least a little honesty, yeah, sure. We could even write a sub version to high-school, maybe even being a teenager.

I'd certainly be willing to input my experiences.

Personal experience (if anyone remembers the failure of the LCMM) has taught me not to have too much faith in the powers of the TOTSE collective. However, I am hoping that maybe we could get something done this time, and I would both help write it, as well as input my own experiences.

As a user of OSS, I would seriously suggest that we license it under the Creative Commons (not for profit, but freely distributed).

Creative Commons, agreed, prefferably the Attribution + Noncommercial + ShareAlike one. So people can't publish it into a book, however outlandish that may seem, but people can make diffrent versions only if it's licensed under the same license.

And as the collective, we'd have to establish a moral guide line or something. I mean, someones definition of hooking up may be completly diffrent to someones else. How are we gonna find common ground?

I had no intention on making it for money. It's merely for the good of totse (and to save Jack having to delete so many threads). I was thinking we'd all put in our two cents from experience, and then write a guide in step-by-step form, as well as a general list of things men should learn so they can wing it on their own, instead of having to follow a guide.

Of course, but we'd still have to license it under something so people don't steal it or anything like that, and then do make money off of it.

Ok, we can get started just discussing over the next week, and then I'll devote some time over reading week (mar 10ish) to putting the beta version together and whatnot.

I think there's a few things we gotta decide first though, what kinda format is it gonna be in? How's it gonna be put together, guide, guidlines, rules? Who's gonna have veto power on moral grounds? Stuff like that, I guess...

I don't want to be a bitch and include only what I want, so I feel that for the major things we need to have like 11 or so people vote yes/no on what goes in and what stays out, that sort of thing. Or if someone posts something that's half-good, we can keep half and remove half.

I'm in, i suppose. I could contribute but don't claim to know a lot. But being average may help, as that is who this is written for[i think].

May i suggest we use google docs. We all set our accounts as contributers then have different docs, one for notes, one for the actual project, one for random ideas. We can all contribute, leave our name or whatever under what we added. There's a chance a TOTSEan would delete it, but i could keep backups on my own google docs account for sure.

I was thinking maybe we'd each have a chapter to write (nothing too big) outlining our most important ideas (like a bunch of guest writers) and then collaborate on the main points to create a few chapters together (we can collaborate via IRC or whatever), and see how that goes.

I'm hoping to cover Presentation, Attraction, Pick up, and Sex Acts only Jesus knows about.

Yeah, that's a great idea, but again, that's gonna create a problem over morals and ethics, also the flow is gonna be way off. We'd have to have just one person really edit it and set it all up.

I think there are two main docs we'd always have to have. One is the rules of drafting, who's contributing, all that stuff. The second is suggest drafts, so we don't just change the document, we suggest it, and if no one declines or anything, it's changed, make sense?

I'll add my 2 cents as well.

Can I suggest though we:

*Decide on a rough format,

*Come up with a list of Chapters, or sections,

*Then as a group work on one small section at a time. That way, we get 10 peoples input, and just have one person edit it all together.

Any thoughts?

You won't be able to rely on people to not fuck around with it. Even if it means it takes longer, the only way it will ever work is if one person is in charge of the admin privileges.

I don't mind putting my hand up to organise it - I have a little free time, and I'll access it at least once a day to weed out the crap.

I'd set up a gmail account, and give people access and shit - submissions can be emailed in, or whatever.

Or whatever.

True, it'd be challenging to do it on the honor system, it'd prolly not work either.

I say we have a few people set it up with admin priviliges or whatever, then the rest of the people are just viewers on there own account, or something like that.
