Dwelling on past?
Whenever I mess up to my girlfriend, I feel horrible and shitty about it.
Even when she is a little disappointed, she gets over it by the next day, but I beat myself up for several days after.
And when she fucks up, I can get over it fairly easily (as long as it isn't hugely bad).
What is my problem? Is that even a problem? Why am I like this?

Re: Dwelling on past?
I think it's normal for most people. It's harder to forgive yourself than it is others...unless they're very very bad.

Re: Dwelling on past?
So it is normal behavior?
See, she tells me not to feel bad, and that I shouldn't even apologize (when it's a small thing), but I really only feel a lot better once I spend some time with her and see that she is happy, and that she really doesn't hold anything against me, and that everything is back to normal.

Re: Dwelling on past?
I think this is normal behavior. Its just that maybe you care for her so much that your greatest fear is to fail her and be deemed unworthy and she will throw you away. So you feel bad about it, thinking it was your fault, that you failed her...
Atleast thats the way I feel IF I could have done something even SLIGHTLY better... even though I dont have a GF, just a very close friend that I really care about, so failing her in any way, even in the paranoid way that I didnt actually fail, but I think I fail, hurts.

Re: Dwelling on past?
You only think she is over it.
Girls are never over shit, they will bring it back in 5 years when you are least expecting it!
