Why is it that the most successful way of picking up women is absolutely soul crushing to me? Acting like their presence doesn't matter, not quite an asshole but silent and "dignified," acting like nothing is surprising or exciting or blissful. Completely loveless. Paying less attention to the girls you're interested in to get them interested in you. And when it works, you lose absolutely all respect you have for them. Acting condescending toward everyone, being a completely bitter prick but not letting anyone know about it. Refraining from saying "I love you", even if you want to more than anything. If you do, she'll just get bored because she "has" you, the chase is over.

I'm making this topic for a shameless seeking of reassurance that this isn't the case 100% of the time, and I'm wondering why being this type of person is attractive. This isn't another "Why are girls attracted to assholes?" thread, because I'm not an asshole. It's a "why are girls attracted to completely emotionally barren individuals?" thread. I've never seen one of those on here.

I refrain from saying I love you, and or touching, kissing.. Alot of that staple lovey dovey stuff. Its not intentional, relationships make me uncomfortable, but I can tell you it really messes with the people loving me.

Outside of current, or semi-current relationships I'm not sure why it seems to attract people, but it does.

Girls might be like cats. When in a crowded room, cats are apparently more likely to gravitate to the -only- person who isn't paying them any mind.

Its not that girls are attracted to completely emotionally barren individuals. Its the fact that they see you unintrested in them and they think why. Im pretty and popular why doesnt he pay attention to me what other more important things does he have going on that are better then me. Their curiousty turns to envy. Envious that maybe your life is more exciting than hers and why she cant have that same excitement. Girls want what they cant have. A problem with doing this is once you are actually with the girl and they see how you really are or that your not that excited they become unintrested.This is my theory anyways.

Were you expecting something else? Hate to break it to you but that is it. If you study biology and human evolution enough, you will discover that is is way more interesting and romantic than any movie you have ever seen. And Pheromones?! Don't get me started on pheromones, sexual recognition, or your DNA imperative.

I don't bother playing many games, I'm not good at them and I can't be bothered. Granted I haven't had many girlfriends or alot of interest but at least the girls I get I know like me for me.

In my post I sarcastically said I only want to spread my seed to contribute to the species, and I only want to have sex to make kids. You told me that's all it is.

Women have no idea what they want half the time anyways. They want to be with someone who listens and cares for them, but more often than not they end up fucking a complete asshole. Eh, I myself naturally come off cold and silent to strangers. So, that can reel them in, but its not me. The search for the right woman (or women ) is a long road for sure..

What is fun about biology is that you find out all kinds off cool and comforting things. Did you know that there is a theory that the reason why women are comfortable with expressing emotions it is because we honestly, deep down, believe that our love will save the lives of our children and our mates?

Did you also know, that for the same reason men tend not to express that same feeling is because they know their love cannot save the lives of their mates or their children?

At the most base level women and men understand this about each other. So when a woman encounters a male that is too emotional, she sees him as unsure of himself, unstable, and possibly too immature to protect her or her womb fruit.

Cliff Notes: Women want stability, security, and strength from you. Acting like one of their girlfriends will not give that to them. By all means, be yourself, but tone it down a bit. Sit back and listen. You can tell them how much you care, but not too much. Pretend each emotion you express is frosting on a cake, and too much frosting is just too much.
