Bum
Why is it, that when guys start talking about anal sex infront of girls, do they call a fucking ass a bum?
Maybe I just hang out with soft spoken guys who worry about weirding girls out.
Its irritating though. I feel as though they are talking to me like I'm a child. Bum, Bum-bum, tooshie. None of those turn me on. Not a one. I could list more.
So, tell me men of Totse.
What do you say?
Ass & butt, or Bum and Bum-bum?
Why, oh why?
Ladies, what would you rather hear?

Re: Bum
One of my friends broke her tailbone skating a few days ago. I told her that next time she tries anal she should use lube. Why not just say it?

Definately, not talk....:P
How do you fit this into casual conversation anyway? And....why?

Because this kind of shit is what we talk about at lunch occasionally.

Re: Bum
You'd think, that with the content of my circle's "Casual conversation" that the boys wouldn't be afraid to tell someone they'd like to stick it up their ass. The things that arise in out conversations certainly go beyond the realm of anal sex.
Really though. It really really pisses me off.
There's one guy, count him, one, who's willing to call it as it is.

Is there that little for people to talk about at lunchtime these days?
Seems odd to me, but hey...I'm getting old. :P

Re: Bum
I'm pretty sure that's just your friends.
Most, if not all guys i know say 'ass'
'bum' is usually what gays tend to refer to it as.
And no i'm not trying to be funny or insult your friends. Just speaking truthful opinion.

I don't understand why this pisses you off though. What does it matter?

Girls actually tolerate that kind of talk? It seems disrespectful to me unless it's spoken of in a moment of intimacy.

I'd expect bum from gay guys too, actualy.
oc6:
Aside from what I said above, I'm really not sure why it bothers me. It just does. Call my butt a freaking butt, thank you.
I've never really been offended by any less than kosher language, spoken to me or otherwise.
I do, however, get weirded out if people speak to me like I'm a cute furry animal or a small child. Pet names from boyfriends can be terribly bothersome. Maybe I'm just not conventional. The kind of respect I demand is diffrent than that you might by default show to females.

Hearing the word bum pisses me off, because to me it implies that there is someone that is such a pussy they can't say ass.

Re: Bum
"So I stuck it in her bum last night..." sounds a lot more funny than "so I stuck it in her ass last night". Especially while eating (food).

Re: Bum
So.. Rabbitweed, you say Bum because corupting chicks gets you off?
Soup: Thats deffinately part of the reason.
Jojabr: I don't think it sounds funny really. It sounds like one of the boys raped his puppy last night. Which.. under the correct, humorous circumstance, is funny. Hmm.. Usualy our conversations take place over an empty table in a social area. In fact, its rare that any of us are eatting, because who's going to watch the table when everyone disperses to socialize? Its not really an organized gathering like lunch. Its friday night at the rink.

Heh, I had a female friend who oddly enough, everytime she was eating a sub sandwich with mayonese, my guy friends and I would somehow end up having a conversation about cum right in front of her.

It's more like the respect I expect to be shown. But, some women are not as conservative as I.

Re: Bum
What about 'cunt'? Do you always 'member to call the giner a 'hairy, hairy cunt' when you're talking with/around women? 'Cause they really appreciate such frankness.

Re: Bum
Call it a cunt if you like.
Admitedly, hairy is a little bit to much information, but if one of the boys comes up and says something about a pee pee place, I'm going to slap them. Hard. With a brick.

Young women. High school friends hanging out during or after school, basically.
Actually, one of my teachers told me her favorite word is acrimonious, because it fits well when used in the phrase, "acrimonious cunt."

Re: Bum
I thought a peepee place was a washroom?
Admittedly, a giner is a traditional penis washing organ...but still...

I might also add that the word Cunt is not shy in my vocabulary. I use it quite often, in a number of situations, sexual refrence or not.
This should probably be in my other post, shouldn't it? Oh well.
