Has anyone or know of someone that has gotten into an intimate relationship with a cousin [second cousin hopefully]? I know its a taboo today, but in the past it wasn't uncommon for cousins to marry. It's not hard to have strong feelings for a cousin either, they are your family, and depending on your cultural and family background, you may or may not be very close to him/her.

My question is more pertaining to experience with these relationships, how one goes about returning to a state of normalcy[if thats the right word] while still maintaining a strong non-intimate relationsihp with a person. I will post my own personal experience later, only because it really is quite odd.

You mean normality.

No i have never known anyone in a relationship with their cuz. For a time i did think my own cousin was quite attractive but i dont exactly anymore seeing as i have a girlfriend now.

Incest is "taboo" and *is* pretty weird.

There are millions of other girls out there so why go for one that your whole family will look down on you for wanting.

It's not a matter of wanting to be with the person.

If you have a chemistry with a certain person and are able to have a secure relationship then its hard not to keep wanting to be with that person.

I don't know what the fuck I'm trying to get at, I am extremely confused.

Have a look at photos of the British royal family, and ask yourself if incest is really a path you want to go down.

Generally you don't need to say 'an' for cupan, as it implies it. I don't know the word for coffee, but it's worryingly likely you've got it right...

Incest is a term generally used for immediate family such as dad, mom, sister, or brother. Incest is illegal, but cousins is a different situation. Marrying a first cousin is legal in half the states in the United States. Most other states its 2nd or 3rd cousin, not sure how far removed one has to be.

If your cousin is into a intimate relationship, then I guess, go for it.

I think my classmate is in love with his cousin because he talks about how hot she is all the time. And she is hot, but that's just weird.

My anthro professor told me that technically having sex with a 1st cousin isn't biological inbreeding. If you were to have kids with a cousin, the kid would not be at a higher chance of having defects.

I think she's a fucking liar, though.

Kinky!!

Seriously though, if it doesn't bother YOU and you don't think it will in the future. Go for it, just think about explaining THAT to your husband/wife.

There's just one extremely important point: Do not procreate. With the advent of birth control of every kind, incest can be safely... committed.
