Maybe I'm over reacting, I've recently found out my next door nieghbors are swinging and swapping. I'm getting over that.Now I think the guy on the other side of me is a pedophile and here is my reasoning. He recently moved back in with his parents who live next door to me. He is in his late 30's. His wife all of a sudden apparently threw him out?? So now he hangs around with these two youngs boys who live on my street. They are 12-14 yrs old. He takes them places buys them shit and is always hanging out with them . Well that alone bothers me. He even went and bought a small dirt bike for them to use. I notice him drop them off at thier house at 12am and later.The mom of these kids is stupid and isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and the dad is long gone. I'm going to feel bad if years down the road I find out he was molesting them, but I can't come out and accuse him. What do I do, how do I find out if his intentions are honourable?

Okay, I'm going to feel like shit if I stand by and do nothing, Apparently another parent thinks the same thing because she won't let her kids near him. She happened upon them while this guy was giving one of the boys a hug when he seen her he backed off real quick

Call the cops or have the other parent call for you, she may be seen as more credible by them. It's a lot better than brooding around and doing nothing while some poor kids could (and probably are) being molested.

If you are genuinely worried about this guy, contact the police.

Say that you suspect. Don't make accusations. Also mention that neighbours have similar suspicions. They might want to come and talk to you/your neighbours.

But really, stress that you only suspect. They should take that into account and act accordingly.

Also, there might be no evidence, even if he is paedoing them up. In that case, get a parent to speak to other parents. Subtly though, more along the lines of "Do you really think it's healthy..." than "He's a raving fucking paedophile, mate".

Not much else I can think of.

What I'd like to know is what kind of life does the OP have to be THIS observant of the comings and goings of their neighbors. You sound like a 75 year old sitting on the porch whittling wood with all the details you have. When the day comes that I give a shit this much about the happenings of my neighbors to this detail, someone please throw me off a cliff.

and do what the other guys said, contact the police and stress its only suspicion. and getting the parents to talk to each other is a good idea too.

But I know how people love to accuse other people of being pedos. It's trendy and makes them feel righteous.

I would suggest talking to the boys and asking them if there's anything suspicious about the guy. Tell them to be careful and tell someone if anything happens, if the guy tries anything.

I don't think the police can do anything about it anyway if the mother doesn't care that he's hanging out with them.

Anyhow, aside from Rizzo's excellent plan to exploit the pedo for your own ends, I tend to agree that the cops can't really do anything. But having them show up mysteriously to question him, especially since he thinks he's in the clear, probably will make him back off some and question his current "lifestyle decisions". Besides, it's always fun to call the cops on someone else; douchey as that may sound, it's honest. I once was on the recieving end of internet fraud, and there was nothing more satisfying than getting a letter from his local police force listing his jailtime. People who are stupid enough to get into serious stuff like pedophilia deserve to get their ass reamed in prison.

He could be banging the mom, but this seems unlikely to me.

You'd think a genuine pedophile/child molestor would be more discreet about hanging out with the kids, knowing that people would perceive this as shady behavior. Whereas this guy doesn't seem to give a shit about what the neighbors think, as he's apparently doing this all very publicly, and that makes me think that he has nothing to hide.

God damn, this is the one legitimate case on Totse where some good old fashioned night ops would be appropriate. Pick up listening devices, micro cameras, etc. at your local spy shop and observe them.

Three doors down from me there was a man. He was in his low thirties. When I was about 6 or 7 there were about 5 kids my age on the street. In his basement this man had every game for every system out[8 years ago] and he would always invite kids over. He'd make them food, and play Duck hunt or whatever bullshit games. I believe this was around when the PS came out, but the kids wanted to feel retro.

I went once, I came home and told my mom of the wonderful man who could afford all the games I couldn't, and let the kids play with them! He even gave us snacks! I was told never to go in the mans house, that it was okay to talk to him on the street, and when he with other parents, but not to go to the mans house. I was mad, i pleaded to be able to play with his games, but was told otherwise, i couldn't understand.

Now, i know that there are people that probably browse totse and love little kids. Your best bet is to go to the kids themselves or their parents and tell them the dangers, maybe burn a copy of to catch a predator and put in the mailbox of the man, scare him.
