Default hmmm...

Ok before you read this let me say, I AM a jealous bastard.

Me and my girlfriend are very serious together. Been together over a year. This september 16th. She is turning 18.

Apparently, on sept. 14th, her 30yr old aunt is taking her to her aunts ex husbins house. To get her shit faced drunk.

I have no problem with that, besides the entire house will be guys. The only girls will be her aunt and her. Her aunt said I can't go along because "She doesn't want me to see my girlfriend drunk" This house is a few blocks away.

Anyway, So apparently they are going the night of the 14th. and sleeping over til the 15th. and then the 16th she is moving into my house.

The point of this is, Do I have the right to be upset or jealous that my girlfriend is going to get shitfaced drunk in a house full of guys? I trust my Gf, but if everyone there is drunk.. Yea.

*BTW, My gf lives with her aunt because her mom was murdered. Her aunt goes to her ex husbins house often. My gf went once and I got jealous and told her i don't like when she goes over there and she doesn't go over anymore.

Mainly I don't trust her aunts ex husband.

Thoughts?!

Relax. She'll have fun. Without you.

Get used to the concept. It does indeed happen. Her Aunt wants to have a blowout with her before she moves out. I'd say that it's understandable.

That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard. Why wouldn't she want you to see her drunk? Afraid you can't handle it? If you, her caring boyfriend, can't handle something she's going to be doing she shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

This is really a bad idea. Take her to a party or club something with lots of guys and girls if you want her to get shitfaced, and go along with her.

Her aunt sounds like a douchebag.

Show up in the middle of the party, after it's busy and people have had some drinks. I'm assuming your aunt will be drinking too, so you should be undetected. That way you can watch/get drunk with your gf.

well.. I think between now and then, I will have convinced them to let me go. Her aunt doesn't care for me, Well she didn't she is starting to. She thought I was going to be one of those 2week bfs i guess.

But yea, If you read some of my other posts about her aunts.. lol you would better understand the situation.

I wouldn't break up with her for anything. But if something were to happen while she is there. I dunno, I wouldn't break up with her. I would however be meeting somebody in a dark alley. lol

I wouldn't trust that situation, but I've heard a lot of bad stories from close relatives and friends to back my stance.

Thats like 7 months away. Dude - your life is way too planned....

Women like to develop little shit tests for guys. I guess this is one of them. Depending on your response, this Aunt could turn into your best friend, or be forever trying to push your girlfriend away.

You could whinge, moan, beg her not to go, and look like a little girl that will cling to her niece like a fucken baby the rest of her life.

Or you could man up, say it really doesn't bother you, and just go and do something else that weekend. Something involving lots of girls, but not necisarily with a sexual overtone.

You will have called their bluff, and be seen as a much more mature person because of it.

Your 18 - have fun, and stop worrying about the future so much.

It's just pussy.

If your jealous of her being at her families house because some guys will be there, you have some problems.

it's not her families home.

It is a very complicated situation. The aunt isn't really her aunt. She just says they are. it is like her 3rd or 4th cuzin not her aunt.

So make the ex- husbin nuthin at all. Her seems like a sexual preditor to me. Add some liquor.. Listen the guy is an ass. My gf knows that, I'm not completely sure she wants to go. But she does everything to please her aunt. (Cousin).

She doens't want her family mad at her.

1. I think most will agree on this: Make the topic title relevent to what the thread is about. Ambiguous topics such as "What should I do?" and "WTF?" leave no hint as to what the thread is about and does not make anyone want to click on it. I'm not asking for a summary here, just a general direction as to what the hell I'd be getting myself into if I click on your thread. The more specific you can be with the least amount of words is a plus in my book.MrMojoRisin

Or he could man up and tell the 'aunt' that's unacceptable and it won't happen.

Now before people start bitching and moaning about "oh rabbitweed that is so controlling"...please shutup. I have nothing against a girlfriend going to a party. Nor having some drinks as long as there's trustworthy people around.

But for some older friend of hers to tell her boyfriend that she's going to get her completely smashed in a house full of dodgy guys...and that she doesn't want you there...is unacceptable to me.

You're her serious boyfriend and you're moving in with her. You outrank this 'aunt'. She has no right to say "your girlfriend is doing this and that's that".

More importantly, however, what does your girlfriend say?

my girlfriend is "undecided" She wants to please me and keep me happy. But she wants her aunt to be happy too.

BTW- This aunt, Which is really her cousin(Like 4th cousin) She lives with. Bcause her mom was murdered.

The house se would be going to is in the worst part of town. lol (a few blocks from my house)

And the people there have no relation to her, and all but one or two have never seen her before. I just don't want her to get drunk and someone take advantage of her.

I'm looking for her good. I don't want to be controlling. My dad was very controlling of my mom when they were married. And I refuse to be like that.

You can tell people something till you are blue in the face - sometimes they have to work it out for themselves that something is a bad idea.....

If you take the attitude of "look, I think this is a bad idea because of ......, but I respect your decision to do whatever you want", you'll get the best solution in the end.

If anything bad happens, you are in the position to call the shots (forgive her, tell her to piss off, whatever you want), but if nothing happens, she'll respect your attitude.

Remember, she is her own person, and you don't own her. She'll do what she wants when she wants. You could either be supporting, or dominating..... thus affecting how she thinks of you when she is in a room full of guys..

It does effect how they are when in a room full of guys. For example, my girlfriends always know they'll be hospitalised if they do anything.

In the past, I'd have been pretty pissed about the idea. But, after suffering through a horrible relationship, i'd just go out and do something else while she goes and gets drunk. She'll have fun, I'd have fun, and if anything happened you KNOW you'd find out eventually. Eh, its life, if she loves ya, nothing happens if not, you'll be glad you found it out this early before you went ahead and tied the knot..then divorced her and she took half your shit :P

If your girlfriend is as serious about you as you are about her, then you have nothing to worry about.

What gets me is that she considers going without you. That doesn't sound like a serious relationship to me.

I'd never go without my wife. I know she wouldn't go without me.
