Default ex-heroin addict

I know for a fact im gonna get shit about this but im curious to know if girls have complications with dating someone who used to do heroin, not anymore been clean for a while now, just wanted to know, and if any guys have no trouble with it lemme know.

I could always never tell them but i figure that might get complicated.

Around here we have a saying: "Everyones either done it, has done it or is going to do it".

But just as a sidenote, junkies fuck like dead fish.

Girls with track marks have the ability to disturb me to a great degree.

There's no reason to bring it up until you're somewhat serious.

I've had to have the "BTW, I'm a recovering alcoholic" chat with a girl before. On one occasion, the girl immediately lost interest. Just keep in mind that any chick who's like that is a bitch, and you'll be fine.

If she gets to know you first and then it comes up, it won't be a problem. You have to wait until she makes up her mind about who you are before you tell her something that might cause prejudice.

As long as you don't shoot up or if you don't with dirty needles its not dangerous to them anyway. Seriously though casual sex don't mention it. People you like well normally the only girls I have a relationship with are cool and do drugs as well.

i'm a little more sensitive with drugs than a lot of people i know, so i'd have an issue if a guy started again. but if he quit and stayed clean, i'd probably have a lot of respect for that.

And I'm guilty of the same stigma (fuck, I mod BLTC and I'm uncomfortable with IV use, go figure).

I love chicks that can handle their drugs, and I've had a "drug fetish" for some time. But not IV use. If she looks like she shoots, I get weirded out.

Past tense is the key here. If you stay clean I don't imagine anyone reasonable seeing it as an issue.

It shouldn't really interfere. Either never tell them and don't use again or straight up tell them. I have done both and am currently on the not telling them one to see how that goes.

track marks and cutting scars usually tell me the same thing about a chick:

this bitch is crazy and has problems

not always try, but most chicks aren't responsible drug users, or Iggy Pop.

Yeah, but I'm a bit surprised with the responses.

I was well aware that my ex-boyfriend used to do a lot of drugs. Coke and E mostly, and shrooms and weed. When we started dating he was only smoking pot. Then started taking shrooms a little too often. And then I found out he was doing coke again, and not even from him! And then I confronted him about it and he got all pissed off. Fuck that. Don't think I'd ever date someone with a prior/current drug problem ever again. I've seen what that shit does to people all too often.

As long as you don't intend to start again.

I try to stay away from addicts, ex or otherwise. But that's a personal thing.

Anyway, like other people have said, it's not the sort of thing likely to come up in everyday conversation.
