Are those the ones coated in 1/2" rubber?

Re: Are Durex Extra Safe really much safer than regular condoms?
They seem to be a good fit, and therefore safe for me.
They're also not a bad price where I get them.

Re: Are Durex Extra Safe really much safer than regular condoms?
condoms are condoms. The only way they can make it 'safer' is to make it thicker, and therefore kill the sensation even more. I can barely stand sex with a condom as it is, it's just not worth it.
If you really want to be safe, get regular condoms with spermacide.

Re: Are Durex Extra Safe really much safer than regular condoms?
First of all, "safer" is just another marketing scheme to make more money off a novelty condom. If you buy from a trusted brand, you'll be fine.
Secondly, Durex fuckin' sucks. I've broken EVERY Durex I've ever used. They probably started making them thicker because their rubber (or I don't know what, the design? sucks.
Thirdly, the effectiveness of the condom lies in your hands. Put it on right, you should be fine. (Rubbing the bubbles out and whatnot.)

QFT.
Odd about the Durexes, because I've used them with great success.

polyurethane aka (thin plastic) condoms are superior... a lot more effective and more sensation since its thin
too bad they're not that common in general stores

If by those you mean Durex Avanti, Jack swears by them.
They're pricey though by comparison.

Strange, trojan have a really bad rep here in the UK but our premium brand 'durex' has a bad rep in the US.
Go figure...
And yes I do swear by Durex Avanti, they really are almost as good as 'blanco' sex.

do you realize what youre doing? youre not allowing conception to take place so youre clearly too young to be having sex.

Durex are made it the UK and Trojans are made in North America. There probably don't fair well in overseas travel.

Re: Are Durex Extra Safe really much safer than regular condoms?
i betcha a million dollars they only put "extra safe" on the label to make you feel better. there is no extra safe. check the effectiveness percentage on the box and it's probably no different than any other condom. all consumer marketed condoms have to meet certain standards. factor in that the majority of their effectiveness is reliant on the person putting it on, and you come to my original conclusion, which was...i doubt they're any safer than any other condom.

That actually would make sense, but I would be inclined to think that they would take precautions against that.
I got a very funny image of shipping cargo boxes full of condoms bursting open and filling the seas...

Re: Are Durex Extra Safe really much safer than regular condoms?
A friend tried the extra safe one and he said it took away half the sensation from having sex, he reckons they are probably designed for anal sex.
That kind of makes sense because in uni, I saw a poster for a once weekly advice session with the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transexual) meetings with the message "Free Durex Extra Safe Condoms"
I've only had sex with a rubber on once and it was durex, it had been in my wallet for months and still no problem.

Do you mean spermicidal with or without a condomn? If you mean without, it wouldn't work, because when you ejaculate it squirts out onto the cervix, making the spermicide ineffective. If otherwise, meh.
I use ansell, lifestyles or ultra thin. They're both good so far, haven't had any breakages.
