Default Feedback?

I just wanted to write this down someplace and maybe get some feedback, or your thoughts.

There's a lot of background I should probably write to help make this clearer but I'm not sure how to organise it all so I'll just go ahead with what's happening recently.

My boyfriend joined a new band (as lead singer) a couple days ago. The band is from a town about half an hour from here, and although I'm new to this area I know the other town is more "hardcore" than the one we live in - harder drugs, etc. I'm really, really happy for him and proud that he's in the band and I'm definitely supporting him all the way.

However, it seems to me like he's almost got two sides to him - the mellow, loving, indie rock, stoner kind of guy that I love; and the crazy, all-out, getting drunk, partying kind of guy that I also love, but worry about and don't like quite as much as the other guy. Not two weeks ago he was talking about how getting drunk is stupid, that he's going to start cutting down on smoking pot (which I don't care as much about, I do it as much as him), that he's going to quit smoking cigarettes, and his plans for college next year. That was the mellow side of him; the other side has come out now that he's in this band.

An example which is kind of lame, but I guess makes it as clear as it can be, is that his myspace interests section used to say something along the lines of "music, friends, freestyle hackysack, mah girrl, playing bass, dancing, jumping, kicking, diving, punching, laughing, laughing, laughing." and now says "music, my girlfriend, friends, pot, summer break, blunt rides, sex, sunrises, cigarettes, shows."

So maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion, but it's bothering me a little, and I'd like to know what my fellow S&Aers (is that a word?) think.

Edit: I forgot to mention that today's our five month anniversary. We're going to a coffeeshop downtown to drink tea and chill out for a few hours tonight.

Geesh.

Not much you can do without coming off as a controlling bitch.

Exactly..I know. And I don't want to be, because that's not who I am. I'm not planning on doing or saying anything; I think I'm just going to go with it and let life go on.

Ahhh, tea is so calming.

Eh, don't worry about it. It could entirely just be a phase. if your feeling start changing then you should worry. Or if his do.
