I need to decide what looks best on me. Here are 3 pics with hair of various lengths. I will appreciate genuine opinions (male and female, although as a hetero male, female is more important).

I tend to go for long hair on a guy and my personal opinion, which most times isn't worth shit, I like the first one the most. Not that clear of a picture though. The second one was alright and the third, well it just looked funny. You look like the type of guy that looks A LOT better with hair. Again, just my opinion. Hope it helps.

Thanks I like having long hair, but it's so much easier to have it short. I guess I just have to decide what it's worth to me.

hmm... I suppose the clothes I wear aren't strictly utilitarian so there's no need for my hair to be... but then again you can change clothes immediately at will, which you can't do with hair. Ok, enough. This train of thought is going nowhere good...

Yeh... :| That was taken a few years ago. I've since realised that it usually takes more than a handful of gel and a wind tunnel for the spiky look to come off well.

Go for the middle one, but leave out the gel.

Three looks the most badass.

Extremes.

One is sort of cute in the sense of adorable kid. The second one is kind of edgy, sexy, confident. The third one makes you look like an old gang banger.

My fav was two, it takes balls to make bed head look hot.

2, but 1 not too far off. Maybe because I'm used to the longer hair here (skaters/etc.). 3 comes off as a twit, only because anyone here with that hair is guaranteed to be a total dumbass, but that's just here. Still, 2 is my vote.

One looks younger. Three looks older. Two is crap.

Only 1 and 2 have something. The "Tidus" cut or spike "Fuck you but love me" cut. Three is plain.

But don't listen to me, I'm on my way to an 80s sleaze metal cut..

Frankly, I think you look just as good at all lengths. And while your choice of cuts are generic they're all "flattering". However, speaking as a cosmetologist longer cuts on men are popular right now. So, in a purely cosmetological point of view (without knowing you) I'd go with the longer style. May be even let it go a little longer and then have it layered so that the layers fall around your chin.

Since your face is slightly narrow and your eyes slightly close set a layer that lands at your chin would create the illusion of extra width around the eyes and strengthen a narrow chin. You could keep it professional looking by having it thinned so it's close to the head. But since your hair looks on the fine side as it is, I really think a basic layered cut would be fine.

You look a lot younger in the long hair picture, idk if you really are a lot younger or the hair does that. I look younger with shorter hair, but I'm buzzing my head in a little while anyway

I usually never think short hair looks good, but I think 3 fits you the best.

3rd one.

But keep the one that you feel you can still smile confidently with.

I think they all look good, but 3 is quite boring looking, and if you're the kind of guy that does actually like some hair on his head, then definitely keep growing it out, and getting it thinned (as Lost Cause said).

Once it gets past a certain length it should look cool, and you can attach little barbs to the end of your hair to flick in the eyes of people who irritate you...

And to whoever said about my looking younger with the long hair, that photo is actually a few years older than the third one, so you're right.
